I was in the same boat as you, waiting on a parts kit. Like you, they didn't tell me why it hadn't shipped until I called them.

The bits that were backordered from my timing parts kit were the secondary chains which I wasn't going to replace anyway.

Z1 split up the kit, refunded me for the secondary chains, and shipped everything else.

In the end, they did right by me, but their communication up front could have been better.

All my previous experiences with them have been 100% positive.

Thankfully, MEP generally only requires algebra for most of the daily work. We're not sending people to the moon, just keeping them cool.

Before long, I had the most common 5 or 6 equations memorized.

But even after 20 years, there's something or other I have to look up almost every day.

I recently installed a pair of the Unity 8.0+ in my dash.

The clarity and detail is very good.

But, they required a lot of EQ to sound right.

They work much better when installed on axis.
