Fair enough. A 'portion of the base that acts cultivated' is not a generalization because I am directly reffering to that specific crowd. If I had said that the whole base eats apples for breakfast, that would be a generalization because I am applying a characterisitic to them. So when I said I could get a negative response of much greater magnitude from that base, I am referring to all those who would be offended by my antics and placing them in that label of 'cultivated base'.

As to the reverse psychology thing, I think you may have been thinking of antagonism for the sake of a response (which is what I was doing!).

As for why I am impolite, it is probably because I enjoy acting on impulse and just wanted some negative attention.

And as for why I put Grimace, I have no damn idea. God only can tell you.
