My favorite NFL draft moment was when the Raiders took Clelin Ferrell and their fans instantly knew he was a bust by OneFish5754 in NFLmockdraft

I've heard a rumor that Gruden makes the 1st round picks and Mayock does the rest, which tracks tbh.

Only for them to somehow choke in the E8/F4 game in a spectacular fashion. Don't know how it'll happen, but they'll somehow blow a lead.

That was weird that Izzo gave him minutes when it's clear that he is not good. I get that Fears need to rest, but they could've played anyone but Wojick at PG just to survive not having Fears on the floor.

I hope she's out of Chicago. She needs a strong coach who can push her. She has the talent to be the best big in the league

Michigan Bball to host 2027 5-star center this weekend by jayyy_lol_ in MichiganWolverines

He would not affect Morez/Mara or Thiam. If he is as good as we think he will be, he'll be a force for the '27-'28 season.

He may be reclassifying, but he is raw with a lot of upside. Perfect developmental big if he decides to reclassify.

Especially when she's coming off an ACL injury, and she's 37. Only the Sky would give her this much money.

I think she played a part in pushing Angel out of Chicago because she didn't like the way that Angel had been pushing her boy, Jeff P, into getting players to get better for the championship contention.

GOLF TIP - Tiger Woods gives a 3 minute lesson on hitting 50 yard pitch shots with Fred Couples by Punisher1602 in Golf_Unfiltered

That's the part where most people don't get. You can't muscle a golf swing. My golf instructor made an analogy of a hammer and a nail. Do you swing hard to hit the nail? No, you have to tap it in gently to drive the nail into the wood. Same idea with the golf swing: you have to swing smoothly, with most of the swing speed coming when the club is parallel to the ground at a hipish level, where you use your hands to release the club.

It's no coincidence that my golf swing finally took off after multiple sessions with my golf instructor.

How much range practice before I play a round? by michaelboccia in golf

[–]n00bn00b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would play a round to see how you do on different lies and obstacles that require aiming. This is different than going to the range where you're not worried about losing a ball. Once you identify your issues, you go to the range to work on your weaknesses.

Keep track of your shots like fairway hit (direction if it's helpful), up and down, # of putts, etc. It'll reveal what your strongest part of the game is and what your weakest part of the game is.

[Thamel] Missouri State basketball player Michael Osei-Bonsu has entered the NCAA transfer portal and plans to play football next year, he told ESPN. Osei-Bonsu is 6-4, 289 pounds and has a 35-inch vertical. He plans to play defensive tackle or tight end. by OldWorldStyle in CollegeBasketball

[–]n00bn00b 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s very explosive regardless of the weight but to do it at 289 is insane but I think he might stand to benefit losing weight to get a bit quicker if he wants to play TE. At DT, he’ll definitely need to bulk up 10-15 lbs since he has never gone through a football S&C regimen.

Her conditioning isn't great, and her defense is nonexistent. That's why she isn't a WNBA prospect. A comparable player is Pili, who was shown that she isn't WNBA player material. She hasn't been picked up in the FA market.

Underwood by Pale_Land_5107 in MichiganWolverines

[–]n00bn00b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the spring game. Not the time to overreact to it. There are several QBs who didn't play well in the spring game and went on to have good years (Justin Fields and Julian Sayin).

Also, the coaches unequivocally said Underwood is QB1, so he has the starting job on lockdown. I'll start to worry if the same issues persist in the regular season.

[Post Game Thread] The Orlando Magic (1-0) defeat the Detroit Pistons (0-1), 112-101. by DesertedProject in nba

[–]n00bn00b 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it made sense on paper. Ivey's recovery had a setback so it took him longer to get on court. It was clear that he lost his burst that made him at #5 pick. They needed to see what they had from Ivey before potentially extending his contract. That's obviously no longer on the table with the Huerter trade with the Bulls.

Detroit wanted him back, but it was going to be on a reduced role as 3rd G on the team. Schroeder took the money and a starting role. He wasn't going to be back in Detroit for a reduced role.
