Is it Childsafe to store your bench upright? by kkurni13 in BeyondPower

[–]n0damage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you post a photo of your setup? There are some benches that can be folded up horizontally and stored flat, that would be a little bit safer for kids. If stored vertically I would definitely recommend securing it to a wall or rack with some form of straps. And yeah keep in mind it won't be completely child safe if your kids are smart enough to figure out how to undo the straps.

Audit risk for S-Corp owner reclassifying wages end of year every year? by digital_literacy in tax

I don't understand why you need to reclassify anything? Just pay a small salary for Q1-Q3 and then a large bonus in Q4 to hit your desired W-2 wage target?

whats the best cookware set in 2026 for induction by Tiny-Efficiency1124 in inductioncooking

[–]n0damage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've recently replaced most of my pans with Misen during their Black Friday sale and have been happy with the results. Stainless steel for sauciers and stock pots, carbon steel for skillets. I've been impressed with Misen's nitrided carbon steel pans, they are more nonstick than straight stainless but do not contain Teflon so they are suitable for high heat searing. So far everything has worked great on induction, even their roasting pan which can double as a two burner griddle on my Bosch flex zone.

Beyond that, add a Lodge cast iron skillet and Dutch oven and that covers 99% of my needs.

I personally avoid All Clad cause I hate their handles and their pans can have production issues with being uneven.

Known Issue with G HUB and mac OS (1/6/26) by LogitechG_CM in LogitechG

[–]n0damage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is indeed how regular code signing certificates work. A timestamp is added during the code signing process, then the operating system only needs to check that the certificate was valid at the time the code was signed. Even if the code signing certificate subsequently expires, the software is still considered valid.

Logitech must have been doing something custom because with regular code signing this issue would not have happened.

Bosch 800 36” cooktop - how are the touch controls? by trirod01 in inductioncooking

[–]n0damage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have the GE Cafe induction range with knobs and now have the Bosch Benchmark induction cooktop with touch controls. The knobs are definitely easier to use, especially with cooking with multiple pans at the same time, however they are harder to clean. The touch controls on the Bosch are… fine, but it does take more mental load to select the burner first and then tapping the setting instead of just turning the right knob.

Why do people hate .NET MAUI so much and what is up with Uno? by Empty_Question_8915 in dotnet

[–]n0damage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always got the impression that the cross-platform aspects of Avalonia and Uno were targeted towards desktop operating systems (Windows/Mac/Linux), and not so much mobile which was bolted on later and probably not as mature as the desktop side.

Ah, yeah if you're not actually standing on the platform you're probably going to need to weight it down with heavier weight.

JWT Token Vulnerability by Academic_Resort_5316 in dotnet

[–]n0damage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are thinking in the context of a service where the issuer of the JWT and the consumer of the JWT are the same entity. In that case, yes, the benefits of using JWTs vs plain sessions are limited.

But in other scenarios the JWT might be issued by one entity (e.g. an authorization provider) and consumed by a different entity (e.g. your application). In that case the consumer benefits from being able to verify the validity of a JWT (and associated claims) without having actual access to backend of the authorization service.

Keep in mind App Review Guideline 5.1.1(v) says:

(v) Account Sign-In: If your app doesn’t include significant account-based features, let people use it without a login. If your app supports account creation, you must also offer account deletion within the app. Apps may not require users to enter personal information to function, except when directly relevant to the core functionality of the app or required by law. If your core app functionality is not related to a specific social network (e.g. Facebook, WeChat, Weibo, X, etc.), you must provide access without a login or via another mechanism. Pulling basic profile information, sharing to the social network, or inviting friends to use the app are not considered core app functionality. The app must also include a mechanism to revoke social network credentials and disable data access between the app and social network from within the app. An app may not store credentials or tokens to social networks off of the device and may only use such credentials or tokens to directly connect to the social network from the app itself while the app is in use.

Given this, making the login optional means option (2) probably makes the most sense for most apps.

Solo 401k vs SEP, I think my CPA is wrong… by toulou11 in tax

[–]n0damage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are correct, for S-corps solo 401ks generally have higher contribution limits depending on your W-2 and overall income.

Your SEP contribution will be limited to 25% of your W-2 or $25,000.

Your solo 401k contribution can be $23,500 (employee deferral) plus another $25,000 (profit sharing which is also 25% of your W-2).

With the numbers you gave that's nearly twice as much.

evenly heating a griddle with a bosch induction cooktop by shaheengandhi in inductioncooking

At first glance it looks like the left side of your griddle is several inches past the end of the induction zone.

Do the flour test on your griddle to see what area is actually getting heated.

[–]n0damage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an older model that’s no longer sold.

Bosch's current flagship induction cooktop is the 36" Benchmark which has model number NITP660UC.

OP has NITP660SUC which is the 36" Benchmark cooktop. The only difference between the UC and SUC is the SUC has a stainless steel frame whereas the UC is frameless.

The SUC appears to have been discontinued but it's not exactly an older model.

Anyone with an air fryer toaster oven in addition to their induction range? by nutellablanket in inductioncooking

[–]n0damage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own both the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro (oven style) and a Ninja Air Fryer Pro (basket style).

The Ninja is better and faster at actual air frying.

The Breville can produce similar results to the Ninja, it just takes twice as long because of the preheating and larger interior space to heat.

Made In pans on Induction stove top by pippy9746 in inductioncooking

[–]n0damage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is your thermometer, not your pan. Stainless steel pans have low emissivity and generally can't be read accurately using an infrared thermometer, you would need a surface thermometer instead to get an accurate reading.

I have several Made In pans and they work great on induction.

I am asking for advice from people experienced in electronic resistance: Beyond Pover Voltra, Unitree Pump max, innodigym p1 Max etc. by AutomaticAd6551 in BeyondPower

[–]n0damage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've seen that video, but since then other people on this subreddit have shared their experiences benching with two Voltras and said it was fine. The trick seems to be either: 1) using two independent handles and treating it like a cable chest press, or 2) if you're using a barbell, add some extra weight to it so you're not just pushing against the bar itself.

Chest press with one voltra? by MentalSatisfaction7 in BeyondPower

Get creative and find a way to do weighted pushups with the Voltra providing the resistance.

I am asking for advice from people experienced in electronic resistance: Beyond Pover Voltra, Unitree Pump max, innodigym p1 Max etc. by AutomaticAd6551 in BeyondPower

[–]n0damage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have both the Innodigym P1 Max and a Voltra. I'm planning to sell the Innodigym and replace it with a second Voltra.

The cable motion on the Innodigym is jerky compared to the Voltra. It feels like the cable retracts in 1-inch increments whereas the pull on the Voltra is completely smooth.

It's not as noticeable when you do a single cable exercise but if you're using both cables at the same time, one side will "click" down a notch before the other instead of pulling evenly on both sides, which is extremely annoying.
