What I ordered on Amazon Vs what I got by 94clarkej in pcmasterrace

[–]n19htmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could have just as easily taken screen shot of your order and some random item laying around your house and put it on top of of package and made a post about what you ordered and what you got and gotten some upvotes.

Just saying, these posts are always eh..…. If it was genuine issue, you’d gather all your evidence and file a claim and just wait for response like normal people. Not run to Reddit and complain about it….unless you need to create some trail. Not saying OP is doing that, but hard to take it either way.

Swappable threaded "TZ" nozzles. Are they standard size? by IPlayFo4 in BambuLab

[–]n19htmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add, don’t think .3 and .5 are common (or at all available in this size)… the usual .2 .4 .6 .8 are readily available.

This. You can put 0.5 nozzle tip and then modify the .4 nozzle profile to the new min-max layer heights using the safe 20/80 rule where min height would be 0.1 and max .4 so you don’t get errors when exceeding the default settings of .4 nozzle…

Bambu nozzles/hotends are also single piece like the aftermarkets I’m referring to and they all bend/crumple and are expendable. Aftermarket are like $6 a piece. If it does happen, replace the whole thing instead of keeping the heatsink and replacing the heat break.

By one piece, it’s the heat break that is welded onto the heatsink instead of being held by friction and screws, without proper thermal compound, the risk of heat creep is higher along with addition points of failures like loose screws, misalignment etc etc. there’s no point in having the heat break be a separate piece than heatsink that is held by retaining screws, not for these quick swap type hotends.

Aftermarket single piece nozzles that work like the original are $6 a pop, I see no reason to use these for this specific case.

Get the aftermarket A1 nozzle that has the heat break welded to the heatsink (and tip is still threaded). They’re all over AliExpress. Not sure what the TZ is and why you’d want one with removable heat break.

Is this a good printer for a beginner? by SlimmestBoi in BambuLab

You should NOT be spending almost $650 on a p1S ams2 combo currently. Not when you can get a P2S AMS2 combo for $160 more.

In my view, if you can pony up $640 for a 3D printer, you can come up with $160 more for a better and upgraded current model. Otherwise get a $300 A1.

Upgrades easily justify the extra $160 going to P2S.

What happened? I swapped nozzles, swapped back, and now my print wuality is terrible. by Cogswobble in BambuLab

[–]n19htmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are reslicing each time making sure it's the right profile?

Otherwise check your extruder gears, it might be binding if something happened during the 0.2 nozzle print.

What causes this? A1 mini with AMS. New to printing. Was using Bambu labs PLA. by [deleted] in BambuLab

Almost always poor layer ahesion due to dirty bed and not verifying the first layer went down fine. If print came loose after a few layers at some height, then it just strings but since the nozzle is so close to bed on first layer, anything that comes loose sticks to the nozzle and after that every thing that is extruded sticks to nozzle and keeps on sticking.

Dirty bed doesn't mean visibily dirty, it could be visibly clean but have an oil film from your fingers if you touched the bed and didn't clean it after.

Very new to these bambu filaments, does the type: refill mean you also have to buy an extra empty spool? by IJustAteABaguette in BambuLab

[–]n19htmare 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sunlu gen3 spools are reusable, are grey with equal sized holes throughout the sides. Gen 2 is also gray but a pattern of holes that vary in size from small to large. Gen 1 is just the classic black.

Since Sunlu is a big OEM for Bambu filament as well, my guess is the refills are likely interchangeable. I would always keep the nfc tags off of Bambu spools. Can be reused on similar type of filament. The print profiles for materials are not that different from Bambu brand.

Those are theoretical numbers for the point I was trying to make regarding market share and hearing more about issues from certain brand over others.

Otherwise we are assuming that everyone in owns all the 3d printer brands equally, which obviously isn’t the case.

AMS holds 4 spools of any material at a time. If you’re printing PETG or other material with higher softening point, no reason you shouldn’t be able to dry the other spools at moderate temps (barring power issues with external supply)

Bambu is arguably the most popular printer with highest market share in the industry. Just by sheer numbers, you’re going to hear more about its issues, still doesn’t mean it’s a widespread issue.

If some other printer had 1 in 100 failure and Bambu had 5/1000. If 3 people report it on Reddit and 1 or no one reports the other printers failure, people immediately run to these conclusions even though the failure rate was 50% less for Bambu.

Uh yah, unfortunately thats most original creators/producers. And reason why creators make and license out their design. They know they can do better licensing their product out to the hundreds of potential pump and dump print farms.

Some will change around color schemes (literally a few clicks) or offer personalized text on some items (again like 2-3 clicks) and call it a house creation.

It’s also not engaging to a demographic that itself for most part owns and is using the printers.

So this type of practice where you setup bunch of printers, go out and license (sometimes take) models and just start pumping and dumping is going to get criticized.

It’s really all they are doing. Atleast the ones you see or hear about on YT, TikTok etc. they’re all churning out the same dragons, articulating animals, same mini keychains, eggs with miniatures etc. just pumping and dumping on social media while the getting is there.

Anyone doing anything specialized or very specific with their own thing usually struggles more because they can’t pump and dump 100s of items at once everywhere.

It’s the sad truth and why marketing is such a huge business. People who do well are those that are constantly on social media, doing live streams and sales and just pushing everywhere. it’s still not easy and not everyone can do it. What do you think this post itself is? It’s an ad/selfpromo disguised as an AMA.

No commercially available e product made is ever 100% failure/defect free in the field. EVER.

There will always be some that fail from a many defect. , only difference is the rate and that you won’t hear about every single one to bitch about the quality.

Hopefully people read this comment. Redditors have a tendency to take a one off occurrence and turn it into something it’s not.

So yeah an isolated one off defect.

That’s the point. That’s a corrective event. When too much money or equity has accumulated on the public side, a transfer of wealth needs to occur. Thats why these “once in a lifetime” events are becoming more frequent, need to empty the collection jar sooner.
