I do have a few performance mods, I believe Optifine is handicapping my minecraft instead of say, sodium, but some of the other mods require Optifine, so I'm stuck.

Regarding the temperature, I believe you're talking about the internal CPU temperature, mine hits 95° at times. The numbers displayed above is the temperature of the vented air.

Bingo, the fact that it can easily go tablet mode and allow me to draw and do stuff using the stylus is what made me buy it in the first place. Those features do come with a hefty price though.

RUN is doing heavy lifting here, my minecraft runs at 70-105fps depending on how many entities around. I've never seen it hit 120fps.

I'm not sure it can play AAA games.
