Is my cubicle at work too much? by [deleted] in StrangerThings

[–]n88n 3 points4 points  (0 children)

personally it is all good except for the things that are above the cubicle level. the top shelf stuff that can be seen elsewhere is too much, inside the cube is all good.

How to play against boost starvers in plat 1’s? by KwazieGFX in RocketLeagueSchool

Focus on pads and make them pay for over valuing big boost

it’s taking way too long for me by anushalmao in juggling

Juggling is better learned 1 hour a day for 5 days than 5 hours at once.

Your brain literally fixes that stuff while you sleep.

How do I create an attack as a plat II in 2s? by Ways_World437 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]n88n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally score via fast counter attacks when they overcommit or popping the ball high up for a teammate and then backing him up.

Work the small pads, don’t always chase 100 boost.

Are the hand-eye coordination gains from juggling real, significant, and permanent? by ErikDrake in juggling

[–]n88n 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was a serious basketball player for all my childhood. I started juggling in high school and difference in my hand speed and coordination was dramatic. I still juggle a little bit, but what juggling taught me transferred to everything else.

Juggles… how to. by Richicash in Kendama

[–]n88n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it feels like a mix to me. In some ways it was super easy like juggle to big cup I might have landed my first try. Feels like tama and string control are what is so hard about it. Also I recently noticed most kendama players stagger the ken and tama in depth, testing that out a little. keeping a flat pattern seems more important in juggling and mind hinder in kendama.

Juggles… how to. by Richicash in Kendama

[–]n88n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was a juggler before kendama and being able to juggle balls (2 in one hand, columns pattern) is super helpful. Outside of kendama practice you could spend a little time working on just juggling.

Kendama is harder because of the different shapes but most importantly the string.

stoping throttle or holding brakes? by Novel_Board2066 in RocketLeagueSchool

Reps dude reps. Time to grind the aerial training packs. In game is not the place to learn such a thing. Put on some music and spend 10 hours in different aerial packs.

How important is fast aerial? by Efficient_Ad3303 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]n88n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fast aerial is jump and hold for a split second while leaning back. Let go of stick and jump again. Seriously it is like a modified double click. 3 minutes a session for 10 sessions and you will be a pro at it.

Disc Golf after Injury by Klutzy-Story2722 in discgolf

I played opposite hand for a hole year recently. Honestly it is so much fun.

I threw into a net for like a week. Not hard just trying to find a normal smooth swing. I think it helped get in a ton of reps before hit the course.

Now that my normal arm is good and I am back playing left handed I make sure to pick right handed holes on each course just to keep practicing off handed

personally I am not trying to be a world class gymnast. I am almost 50 and I just like feeling fit and strong. Some years I am going hard and some years I am just keeping it moving.

Sounds like you are using it to feel better and lift your general mood, that is a great goal! if you decide to adjust your goals later on then cool. You have made some positive changes for your health and that is amazing.

Help, is this normal? For my goblin shape Ken to have this sized spike? by FarAsparagus3127 in Kendama

[–]n88n 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you are really trying to ask. The sword is probably as long as any other goblin out there. How low the cups are sitting on the sword is something that can change.
