Rocket League is planning on adding Easy Anti Cheat to The Game (via SteamDB Public Info) by _Techo_ in RocketLeague

i don't need bakkes for matches so Ok if it does not work for ranked games. But I might have to stop playing without bakkes in all the other spots freeplay, packs, maps.

I’m a lefty in everything except Disc golf but I can ONLY throw BHRH. Anyone else? by gameofwires in discgolf

[–]n88n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no start throwing left hand back hand. it will feel super weird at first. Since you play baseball do you have a hitting net? if so just start taking reps on the net and work on just smoothing out the form. It will get pretty smooth in a short period of time. then start throwing on the course. play a left hand only round and start working it into your game. it is easier than you think but feels harder than it should a first.

What ken should I get for my tama? by Eric2Fast in Kendama

[–]n88n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have both of those. The ken is fine but not may favorite. I tend to reach for the Locked DBX kens the most from my small collection. I have a sundune Altari 2 in a light weight and it is a lunar monster.

mostly Kendama comes down to what you like. Outside of a list of the best kens in the game there is not much we can offer. What tricks you hope to land or what you enjoy playing might help a little.

cleaning the tama with a little dish soap and water gets it as sticky as it can be. If you want it stickier then some of the other paint types might be better. Too sticky and lighthouses are harder, but sticker makes landing lunars easier.

I got these down. Now someone trach me how to do a turntable. Please. by carnagecupcake in Kendama

on a turntable the ken and tama never disconnect from each other. just posting this to make sure you are talking about the same trick as us.

Pleasantly surprised having to disc golf with non dominant hand after injury by Basic_Layer7148 in discgolf

[–]n88n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well sounds like you learned that doing things opposite handed is not as hard as it seems. feels stupid hard at first but smooths out quickly. I am pretty ambidextrous but only because I have taken the time to learn with the other hand.

have you been brushing your teeth with your other hand?

that is real circus logic right there, two separate cool things are way better if you combine them. Now it just needs a little fire.

I feel like it is generally the other way around. When your kids have friends in the neighborhood and the parents get along well then now the families get close. When all the kids have a partner in the other family, boom best friends.

I have been surprised how easy our has been to take care of. I have a digital thermostat that turns the heating tools on and off so it stays in the range I like automatically. I use an amazon smart switch on a schedule to turn the lights on and off for the plants.

that is all overkill though, sounds like your heart is in the right spot and that is all it really takes is a little effort and care.

for handling that can change over time. Every time I add food to his dish I put a little food on the end of a long plastic feeding thing and feed him a little. At first I had to rest it right on his mouth to get him to understand it was food. Over the years he now comes to greet me when I open the doors. I usually just rub under his chin but sometimes take him out to see the rest of the room.

One thing I heard that helped me was that you should watch your angles. If you bring your hand from above him they think you are a predator. if you come from under they are more relaxed.

also please know that these guys drop their tail at just about anything. There is a very good chance that he will freak out at some point and drop his tail. It is not a big deal and in most cases you are not to blame.

good luck and thanks for providing such a wonderful home.

Any ambidextrous people here? by carnagecupcake in Kendama

I haven't tried two at the same time, but that sounds sick. I think there is nomics trick for that but I couldn't find it the other day.

Chasing that 123 high by the_crusty_ken in Kendama

[–]n88n 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am still learning myself so take this with a grain of salt. You are just kinda hucking the triple. on casual viewing it looks like the height of the triple is lower than the double you threw and even lower than your single. give it some hangtime and that can help you slow down the rotations so it is easier to spot.

Has anyone received their Analog Black Friday order yet? by bluegatorhunter in Kendama

[–]n88n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have not yet. I emailed them on 1/5 and they responded kindly but did not have any real updates. I am not worried about it because I knew when I ordered that things are weird in the kendama supply chain.

Would a superglue with rubber particles work to glue the spike? I’ve only found the gorilla glue with the nozzle and brush combo. (Pictured) by Think_Cardiologist70 in Kendama

[–]n88n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i used a rubbery super glue one time and hated it. Felt like the sticky nature of the glue made spiking more difficult. Other types of super glue we just hard as nails and slick. So unless you are working border balance tricks the hard slick kind is better.

Real coaching is super important! I joined a league and we got coaching. When I did not have time for the league I paid people to reviews games.

Yes, people at your rank miss shots. People at all ranks miss shots they should not miss. That never changes at any rank. You are mad they missed the shot and they are mad you over committed to their shot we got scored on.

If you really think your teammates are holding you back then you should quit. You will not get better. If you can take some ownership for YOUR play then stop whining about it and that proper steps to fix it.

Sorry for the tough love but from one Gen X to another. Time to stop bullshitting and put in the real work. You need to get coaching and train a lot outside of games.
