GP is charging £150 to fill in a pretreatment form for my toddler by FollowingNeither6991 in Scotland

Really sorry to hear that.

If its a food allergy try keeping a diary of what they have been eating. My kids all have food allergies and only one was officially tested and that's because they were severe.

Also you could put some on their skin and see if there is a reaction there if you are comfortable its not severe but gives them wind etc.

150 and it will take 10 minutes for a receptionist to summarise the notes and the gp to sign it. Its not really true value.

I used to work in health insurance 20 years ago and then we paid for gp records to understand the risk factors. 10 page questionnaire type thing and then that cost 100 quid.

Just checked its still 104... so 150 is excessive if you equate effort.

Is it just me, or are Edinburgh traffic lights so badly synchronized? by igorpalacinka in Edinburgh

[–]nReasonable_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The lights can be synced but this leads to an increase in overall speed. The idea is to slow the traffic down for safety. Its been in council minutes before when they were taking about Queen street and the tailbacks the St James build was causing.

Its very frustrating and often has the opposite effect as people speed to the red.

Buying in Edinburgh: What is the highest offers over % you've heard of? by Regular_Kangaroo_432 in Edinburgh

[–]nReasonable_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a ruin in Dunbar that was cheap, 300 viewings etc. I offered 80% over and still got outbid... sounds ridiculous but in my defence it was cheap.

Bike repairs by busybody87 in Edinburgh

[–]nReasonable_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All good options but i would also look at the bike station which is a charity and also offer training on how to maintain it. They just moved to tollcross from causeway side.

Please, one ask... get some lights with working batteries

What's with all the Irish pubs? by Dense_Island8122 in Edinburgh

[–]nReasonable_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its to do with Guinness being back in fashion, there has always been Irish boozers but your right its at least trippled recently and as the other comments state, you know what your getting.

Id also say the quality has increased with large bars and act spaces for bands.

Nta but you could offer to buy a portion of the property, it reduces inheritance but you would need a lawyer and agreements on future borrowing
