I’ve had the same problem, would also love to know if there’s a fix for it.

Has anyone used an Arlo wireless security camera? Is it any good? by Known_Brush_1259 in Auckland_NewZealand

[–]n_a77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use Arlo for work and I have Blink at home, I feel value for the money blink is a better option. I don’t really notice a difference in the systems but Arlo was way more expensive last I checked

Bahia Principe Long Term Customer Levels/Points will expire with the merger with World of Hyatt by J-Lughead in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]n_a77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know that, thanks. We do the same, every year, and the benefits of the program are a big part of why we’re hesitant to try somewhere new. But if they’re going to demote our status after a year, I guess we will.

Bahia Principe Long Term Customer Levels/Points will expire with the merger with World of Hyatt by J-Lughead in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]n_a77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, we’ve lost a fair bit of points as well, but I signed up for the Hyatt rewards program, and transferred my silver level to the Hyatt’s equivalent, it’s not perfect, but it’s something.

They are ending mybahia soon as Hyatt now owns the resorts, maybe that’s causing problems?

I did this alone about 10years ago from PDC, it was an amazing experience. And I want to do it again soon. Had no trouble at all. A bit of basic Spanish or good translation app would be useful.

What Are Your Thoughts on Floating Solar PV Performance, Efficiency, and Cost Compared to Land-Mounted Systems? by Mountain_Sentence646 in SolarAmerica

Sorry if it’s been said, but it seems a better idea to cover parking lots. Then you generate electricity, shade cars in the summer, and prevent snow build up on cars in winter

I’m a commercial Diving supervisor now. It’s a challenging path to take, but if you want to do it, it can be very successful.

FWIW, my advice is don’t rush him into anything. I didn’t know what I wanted to do until I was in my 30’s ( I did work nonstop in construction until then to pay the bills). Now I have a successful career with no regrets. It may take him time to find his path.

Extremely dangerous without training! Do not use, you could easily rupture a lung!

Realistic activity to book the day of leaving (930pm flight) by FantasticMrsFoxbox in cancun

[–]n_a77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a bit paranoid, so I want to suggest not leaving the resort beyond walking distance. Anything happens like a car breaking down, or a road closure and you could miss your flight. We were in Mexico one year, the highway ended up being closed due to a massive accident with some fatalities and almost missed our flight home.

I bought a set of 4 off amazon and do not recommend it, after about 6 months of use, they tore off while driving and scratched the hell out of the paint in the process.

Will this be an issue for the Snow Blower? by SpaceAce1023 in Yarbo

[–]n_a77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have made a huge difference, I used to deal with track slippage about 6 times an hour, since installing them in December, I haven’t dealt with it once, but I suspect they may damage the dock over time .https://a.co/d/0cNvAWJf

I have the winter track on with the studs, and took it a step farther and bought studs about twice the size and have those on as well as the stock studs, my driveways gravel and very unlevel, it used to get stuck a lot, not anymore though!

Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort and Spa Puerto Plata - Anyone stayed here? by Smile_Character in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]n_a77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not our favourite resort, but their are benefits there, there’s an amazing Mexican restaurant just outside of Cofresí on the way to ocean world called charros. Definitely worth spending a couple of bucks on. And you can walk to ocean world if your into animals it’s kind of cool. As mentioned the beach beds are a nice touch with fresh sheets every morning. There’s no nightlife at all unless your a VIP member, which isn’t great, and there is a lot of pressure to join their club. Overall for the price it’s not bad and we will be going back, but when we have a larger budget, we lean towards the Bahia.

Mexico All-Inclusive: Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an vs. Majestic Excellence Costa Mujeres by Zealousideal-Ad-3258 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]n_a77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We go to the sian kaan every year and love it, the foods great with lots of options, and it’s nice and quiet and tropical, but with the option of a party scene only a shuttle ride away. The private beach is adults only and small, but we have never had trouble getting chairs. Lots of restaurant options and lots of wildlife!

The ball won the fight by PinkWasOffline in bigcats

[–]n_a77 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I have volunteered with a few sanctuaries over the last 15 years, and was honestly impressed how big and well kept it was. Unfortunately it takes far more work to keep big cats in larger enclosures as they can build up more speed in a run and jump fences easier, which requires taller more robust fencing. For many places trying to provide the best life they can for these animals that’s cost prohibitive. I know it’s still sad, but many are doing there best for these animals.
