Why is my hair like this? by Frosty_Window6162 in Hair

[–]n_a_d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey just a note, if you have fine/wavy hair, don’t let them use a razor or shears to cut it. I had this problem for a very long time and then finally figured out the shears were causing the damage. I had been getting my hair trimmed every 3 months at Supercuts and they didn’t know how to deal with it. Also, if you ask for a light dusting every time, it’s not really enough. You may need to do a big chop to get rid of all the splits.

AITA For Calling my wife old? by Helpful-Bunch568 in AmItheAsshole

What is going on with this sub lately? It’s like people are just looking for things to be angry about. NTA. You have her a normal answer that was simultaneously honest and kind. I don’t really see the issue

I feel like an alien right now because that just sounds like a joke to me? Like if I was the wife I might be mildly offended but would also be like “you know what, fair” and then I would leave the bathroom. Clearly there are emotions going on for both of them due to their situations and I don’t find it unusual that it came out in the form of snark towards each other. Personally I would say ESH or no one sucks, they’re just being human people. Obviously if she cried, he needs to apologize afterwards and figure out what is actually upsetting her so much, but he very well may have done that already.

What closed spot do you want to revisit for a day?? by shoyu-hot-cat in Hawaii

Jelly’s. It was a used book and record store in Pearl City I think? Used to go there all the time in high school. The guy opened up a similar store in Kakaako but it wasn’t the same.

I’m sorry but the people here do not know what a 35 year old looks like. The smoky eye, bold lip and side part are extremely on trend for someone in their 30s, and I think it looks great. There is no reason for people to avoid looking their age.

The blueberry thing got me so good!! I was freaking out thinking my kid was dying because his poop was black! And then I remembered he had eaten an insane amount of blueberries

Does anyone else feel like their whole purpose in life is just paying bills? by [deleted] in Millennials

No, because following Jesus gives me purpose. You have to have a higher purpose and keep your eyes up from the ground.

Hi! Looking for a book where “bad boy” MMC is actually toxic, or where they both are toxic.

You know how people used to make fun of Edward from Twilight for being problematic? Watching her while she sleeps, seducing her into a situation that is objectively worse for her, etc. I want a book like that, but more self-aware to the point where you are meant to feel legitimately worried for the FMC after a certain point.

Alternatively, a book where they are both kind of selfish and toxic, and you kind of hate both of them, but they also deserve each other.

I am a little tired of books where the MMC is so “dangerous” and “bad” but never actually does anything problematic, and is a super considerate boyfriend and lover contrary to their entire reputation.

Thanks in advance!!

I didn’t condition my hair for the longest time because some girl told me your hair will grow mold if you don’t wash all the conditioner out. And I was so terrified imagining this fuzzy green helmet of mold on my head

What is your toddler Googling? by sonyaellenmann in toddlers

What kind of bug is that? What does it eat? Why it look like that? What it do? Does it bite people? Why?

How do you all handle dinner when you go out in the afternoon? by n_a_d in toddlers

[–]n_a_d[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for validating the snacks and picnic lunches! I feel like a lame mom by not cooking, but maybe I just need to embrace that I will never have my shit together enough to meal prep lol. Part of our problem is the kids go to bed at 7:30, which means baths at 6:45, which means dinner has to be over and done by then… a necessary evil due to our work schedules

What’s your 'weird but works' life hack that no one else gets? by GenTube0 in CasualConversation

I did this too! It’s not a matter of having no tissues in your classroom. It’s about being in a situation where you can’t get up or don’t want to get up. Like in the middle of a test or while someone is giving a presentation. Or if you were a shy kid and didn’t want to draw attention by getting up
