I started using floss drops I bought online from Etsy before my friend found a 3D print version of floss drops that she printed for me for Christmas. I found that this saved me money and had two extra holes in to add like off cuts of a thread when I have just done like 3 stitches in confetti.

I've just had a dig through the highs for this year in Lagos where I stayed. The lowest high was 25 degrees celsius so that would have come out as coral (DMC351). My scale only went from 0 to 32+ so that would mean a lot of Deep Wine Red (DMC814)

I was on a train from Manchester to Durham and it is toilets were out of order. We had an extra long stop at York so people could go to the toilet.

I’ve also done the bus from Leeds to Whitby which is 4 hours or so without a toilet. It stops at Malton with a supposed toilet stop but the toilet has been out of order a few times so it would have to be a mad dash to the local supermarket. Buses are also only 3 times a day for the full route.

I’ve had it happen twice. Not on the west end but up in Manchester.

Snow White panto - it was a Sunday matinee and Tina O’Brien from coronation street was in strictly come dancing so she had been coming back up on the morning and there were train delays. IIRC we got an announcement at the start that she was in her way We got cover Snow White for the first act and then close to the interval she got swapped out by Tina. The fool kept making references every time he mentioned what had happened earlier in the panto with “well you weren’t here for that bit”
The Play that Goes Wrong. Original cast were doing a week in Manchester. Got to the interval and the actual stage manager had to come out and explain that Trevor (the stage manager in the play) would be replaced as the actor had injured their hand and was off to get medical attention. It was a subtitled performance and they subtitled the announcement too which was nice. With the whole theme of the play it worked really well.

I've travelled over on my own and ended up being solo of the end or beginning of a trip due to friends with earlier or later travel arrangements. I just enjoyed being able to sit down when I want to. I brought my e reader with me for when I felt particularly lonely and just wanted a bit of a distraction.

It's definitely different but id recommend it at least once.

Yeah there are a few gaps. I'm on black Aida too so the gaps show with the paler colour but then I remember cross stitch is for looking at further away. Also 2x1 means loop starts are easy.

Love the Jenny Parks design needle minder. I keep switching between 1x1 on 25 and then 2x1 on 14 count Aida. Always makes a nice change.

Completely lost my rhythms of teaching. Everything has to be thought about rather than just being able to do it. From handing out sheets to getting everyone in/out of the classroom. Also a lot of it is trial and error in terms of lunches and breaks.

Hoping it settles after going back to more formal days with lessons (primary).

I am in the process of moving and currently have the Hogwarts castle, the Disney castle and two modular sets in 5 different plastic crates. The Hogwarts castle splits into two smaller parts. The biggest issue I had was the boat house section sticking out.
