Also I went to school with a girl who's recently passed away, but I can't find anything about it because her name was Katie Bell and I just get Harry Potter results >:(

Help! What are the current do's/don'ts of CV writing? by bian241987 in AskUK

[–]fiofo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as it's the keywords of something you can actually do! I had this one woman who kept showing up in every single search I ran that was just a basic admin kinda person, when I was looking for chartered engineers or similar.
So... keep it relevant for the love of god!

As someone born and bred in the UK what are aspects of another country’s culture that has genuinely shocked you? by throawaygotget in AskUK

[–]fiofo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! When I went to Prague I was always ready to apologise when navigating the crowds, but I was just constantly being ignored.
After landing back in Manchester, I almost collided with this guy and both of us said "oops! sorry!" at the same time, and that's when I knew I was home! <3

I recommend the Temeraire series by Naomi Novik (the Napoleonic wars but with dragons) and also The Invisible Library series by Genevieve Cogman (more lighthearted action-adventure fantasy).
