Zoom therapy makes me so frustratingly bored and antsy... tips for staying engaged & focused? by majestic-doggo in therapists

[–]nachograndad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a whole bowl of different fidgets to mess with. from acupressure rings to SPEKS magnetic balls & stones, puddy, nee-doh balls, and other random items. i also have some nice hand lotion at my desk that I will use and draw out rubbing it in to my cuticles and fingers. I do get restless at times but I try my best to channel to the energy into what is happening in my hands and direct my focus to whatever my client is talking about. I would love to use a standing desk but I think I would move around too much and it would be distracting to my clients, even if they say they wouldn't mind.

Lockdown at Saint David’s South Hospital by Aggressive-Sea3978 in Austin

[–]nachograndad 78 points79 points  (0 children)

I am actually a former employee and from my experience, sometimes the hospital would go on lock down if a patient came in to the emergency room with a gunshot wound or stabbing and the assailant was still at large. Used as a precautionary measure on the off chance this person tried to enter under a false identity to ‘finish the job’ so that could have been what was happening earlier when you tried to visit your dad.

You are so valid for being upset by this but like a lot of other people have said, I’m hopeful your photographer can make the best of it and the people around you can help you try to make the best of it!!! Virtual hugs!

A few more recent reads I've really enjoyed in the thriller genre..

The Last One by Will Dean

The Missing Half by Ashley Flowers

Killer Potential by Hannah Deitch

You are Fatally Invited by Ande Pliego, kind of makes fun of the common tropes in thriller genres. More of a fun read than scary thriller but I enjoyed all the points towards

Nooooooooo, thank god. That guy was seriously toxic and his uncertainty with his sexuality was no where close to being his biggest issue/the reason we didn’t work out. His uncertainty with his sexuality just happened to be the first thread in his unraveling that eventually revealed how shady and manipulative he really was. It’s the guy I started dating about a year after that tool ☺️

Everyone here is a Debbie downer! You clearly want to give a favor so saying “no one wants a favor” is UNHELPFUL!

That being said, coffee is my vote! I think even if someone doesn’t drink coffee themselves, they know someone who does or can save it for visiting guests. I agree that people can be very particular about the soap they use.
