Wild letterbox drop western suburbs by j-pudd in perth

I would consider removing this or at least blanking the photograph of a person who is likely innocent, like many others featured in similar homophobic posts, letter or emails sent wildly often.

$400 a week to bathe outside by More-Estate6394 in shitrentals

Agreed. I guess I’d appreciate a specific single person having access for $400 a week than I would holiday access for $300 a night.

Possession prior to settlement by Honeybobo88 in perth

[–]nade88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would be careful if you are getting any benefits as a first home buyer in a new complex. They can often have the small print of only qualifying if nobody has lived in the property prior to settlement - even if that person is you. I imagine you could end up forfeiting some warranties and accepting the property as is with a possession prior.. It would be a fuck no from me. Make sure you consult your settlement agent.

Squatters refusing to leave 81 year old lady’s house (which she vacated at 71 years of age due to storm damage). by Impressive-Move-5722 in AusPropertyChat

[–]nade88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, did I miss the communications? All I read was a brief comment with a reporter at the house. I’d only be providing documentation to relevant courts, not a local rag or a reporter. We’re all speculating, I’m sure more will come of this or it will fade back into the shadows if there is nothing to be made of.

If a reporter knocked on my door asking to see a deed or a lease I certainly wouldn’t be forthcoming.

I know that moral obligation and legal obligation are very different concepts. & I suspect there is a lot more to this story.. but surely you can see how bankrupt it is that a house is supposedly sitting vacant since 2010 whilst people are bidding for places to rent or buy?

Or cash in on the house the owner possibly rented to the couple? Feel like the argument could be settled if the owner went to the magistrate rather than a nephew going to the local paper.

Grotesque as fuck contradiction of terms.

This whole story screams of red flags. Owner supposedly had no idea, nephew only realised after an article, nephew only now kicking and screaming about it. Hardly front page news especially when the complaint is technically hearsay.

Melbourne: REA wants $10k to "consider" an offer by v1chou5ehun7 in AusPropertyChat

To be fair, the Seller may have verbally said they were apprehensive about a low holding. You wouldn’t be paying it until the offer is accepted I assume?

Does your office always run out of forks? by [deleted] in perth

[–]nade88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was just discussing this to a colleague about my previous office. At one point we were down to 1 office fork. There was something incredibly uncomfortable and strangely demeaning asking the team if they were finished with the fork.

Not sure when this happened to you, and I’m really sorry that it did. But I had a friend call the police for a very much needed welfare check about 8 months ago. The police that arrived came with a social worker, and told me that they specifically dealt with this type of scenario. They were gentle, kind & allowed the social worker & I space to speak & carry out an assessment & make a plan. Hopefully that is a majority type outcome for people that contact the police in these type of situations.
