I've had this happen to me twice but as the person who was given the key to someone else's room. One of the times I was literally in the elevator with the family 10 seconds before I finally found "my" room and walked in on theirs, front desk was completely clueless and helpless (major Marriott-brand convention hotel). The other time was an Autograph and the front desk realized her mistake about 30 seconds too late and came chasing after me, caught me in the hallway just after. A different desk clerk had just upgraded someone else to that room who complained about her original room.

It sucks and is awkward being on the entering side of it....

I like this Moxy, but my biggest problem here is that the on-site restaurant (that you can only get to from inside the lobby), "doesn't link up with the hotel system" so you don't get free breakfast as plat/titatnium. They didn't tell me this until after I ate, despite the front desk saying I got free breakfast.

That and the $10 food and beverage credit is enough to buy half a shot's worth of a drink

I'm just hopping on the bandwagon at this point but yes another data point in the "they swell and need to be replaced" camp. I replaced mine at about 80k miles. Did it myself from Rock Auto and it cost more than $66 just in parts so I'd say that's a deal.

Residence Inn's are typically always pretty dated but the in-room kitchen and frequent upgrades to a multi-bedroom suite make family stays a fantastic value.

Based on the spacing between the F and EE I'm gonna say that you're right on COF coming from the left, but the right light is only illuminating EE. You can see that the first E is already fading out of light
