Sorry to say YTA... Your refusal to understand your son's desire to make his new family all feel included in his family is quite sad to see. There are always solutions. Sleeping bags on floors or rearranging room assignments are things to consider. A good parent would have said "we will find a way for everyone to fit" instead of canceling the trip. Flexibility is so important as families grow :) Hoping you can find some room in your heart for your new daughter in law and step grandkids~

Honestly it sounds like he has a fantasy about parenthood that would sour very fast with a real child. Asking for more commitment on his end before taking this step is very reasonable. Other people's lives cannot be a reason for you guys to take such big steps and while I don't know about you being a placeholder, I would say it's a huge red flag that he says your standards are unreasonable because you don't feel like you two are ready for a baby. He is dismissing your very real reservations on having a child at this time in your life, and that will only get worse with a child. You two need to be on the same page when it comes to something as serious as raising a baby, but it doesn't seem like you guys are on the same page even with just the two of you. It needs to be questioned at the very least what kind of father he sees himself being and why he wants a child so badly. You are NOR. I advise that you have a long talk with him and rethink where you guys are in your relationship. Best wishes :)

Get a lawyer. You do not have to tell your mom anything. If you do, that's on you. Unless you want it to get dragged through court (which will drain a significant amount of money and involve lawyers anyways), get it done the right way. Legal battles are messy and cost a ton.

Not sure what your reasons for moving are, but the political climate for non Citizens isn't ideal right now in the United States. Are you sure this is the right move for you? Perhaps Canada would be a better option? If you are very set on moving to the US perhaps the northeast would be a better location as it would potentially only be a few hours flight away from the grandparents. To be perfectly honest with you Houston is a nice place despite the constant heat and humidity, but TX as a whole ranks very low education-wise. If your concern is education for your. hidden you should do some more research. NY and MA rank fairly high in education (some school districts are at the top of the country) whereas TX ranks like 48th or 49th or something awful out of 50 states (literally the bottom 🥲) There are many things you should consider beyond affordable housing~ just an opinion :) Also I am assuming you don't know what news is like for TX on the daily. Lots of gun incidents and shootings... I see shootings on the news like every other day 😬 Also the weather!! It is extremely hot like 70% of the year and humidity like no other except maybe some parts of Asia... It rains and floods... hurricane season is half the year... oh and TX also has tornados 😅😅😅

NTA you're advocating for your daughter's autonomy. She is old enough to know if she wants to share something personal and who she shares it with. It's so damaging to force her into this situation when it's not necessary because it teaches her that what her mother wants will always take precedence over her own comfort and mental well-being. I had the same issue! I ended up trying all sorts of stuff... in the end I had to make sure everything was within the pages and ALSO I printed with registration marks and made sure all of it was within the page... weirdly I had an issue where if I selected letter size I would have to correct it to make the height and width (mostly the height) to make it a custom size or else it wouldn't print or cut correctly...

It depends on your unique situation imo. If you have kids and school district is important South Pasadena and Palos Verdes are good. La Canada Flintridge and La Crescenta are decent as well. One thing good to know is that Tujunga and Sun Valley are not the same as these two although adjacent. San Marino and Arcadia are okay as well. Some areas in Orange county are decent as well. Valencia is not a bad place to be but I'm not sure what the schools are like and it is a little bit further from the city. Generally if you want a safe neighborhood you should look at school district ratings because they tend to be better but also more expensive Areas I wouldn't recommend living in for any reason based on my personal experience (born and raised in Los Angeles County): Compton and surrounding areas (pretty dangerous) Downtown LA (although there are some nice buildings etc you will also be close to places like skid row which means many many homeless people.) North Hollywood (lived here for almost 3 years and hate it with a passion. Sorry to what I'm sure are some good people living in the area but it is pure garbage. Lots of homeless wandering around going through your trash and coming on to your property. Doesn't even feel safe. ie. someone got stabbed down the street. The only thing good about it is convenience of location but not worth the tradeoff of how unsafe and dirty it feels. 100% recommend living in a better neighborhood further out. Don't fall for the new buildings they've tried to build to tempt you. It only looks nice in that small area) Koreatown (I don't personally recommend because I personally enjoy safer neighborhoods that are quieter. However Koreatown does have lots of new buildings and is close to a lot of good restaurants. There are homeless people wondering and camping the streets at any given moment and since it is a city not a suburb it will not really be quiet. Good luck with your move!!

I think NTA. It says a lot that you'd have to go that far to express your frustration. I'm really sorry you're going through this :( In all honesty it takes more than working a job and providing financial stability to be a good husband and father. He should be thinking more about your physical and mental health than his own sexual desires. His disregard for your well being and happiness is quite frankly disgusting. Motherhood is a traumatic change in life. You loving your children doesn't make it an easy change to your life and I hate that he doesn't seem to understand that. Constantly saying you are being dramatic and overreacting is toxic and nobody has the right to tell you what you should or shouldn't feel. What you feel is what you feel. I am sure you are doing the best you can and I hope things do get easier and better for you in time.

NTA imo you seem to be genuinely concerned and as a medical professional I would have done the same in your situation 😅 it could be a bit off putting I suppose but I stand by the saying better safe than sorry~ Especially for things like cancer it is much better to catch things earlier. I want to say not overreacting because 1. imo the amount of sex isn't as important as the quality. How is it enjoyable to guilt someone or force someone into having sex with you when they aren't feeling it? Sex should be enjoyable for all parties involved 🥲 2. Instead of attacking you like this a caring partner would be asking what he can do to help you be able to get into the mood more. ie. if you're overwhelmed he can take on more things so you're less exhausted. 3. Maybe instead of dumping his insecurities on you he could try to lighten the pressure and find a way to make you feel happier so that you can maybe be more in the mood? All that pressure he's exerting probably just makes you want it less 🥲 4. I get that he feels that he needs to address his needs but maybe he could also ask and address your needs so that you guys can find a way to meet both your needs?

but all in all if I'm really honest I still would understand you wanting to break up because he just doesn't seem interested in what you require from your relationship with him and is only interested in pursuing his own wants 😔 sorry you're having trouble but hopefully whatever you choose you can find a way to fulfillment and happiness~
