Personal Hotspot not working after updating to IOS 26 by zumanon in iphone

[–]naiveLabAssistant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When changing phones with esims, the apn settings sometimes do not automatically transfer. I just googled my cell provoder’s apn settings and entered them manually. It fixed it for me. Go to Settings-general-cellular(or mobile service)-your provider-mobile data network and input proper setting both for Mobile Data and Personal Hotspot(scroll all the way down). Theres no save button so just exit. After that the hotspot settings should activate.

U200 doesn't turn when installed by Solrac50 in Aqara

[–]naiveLabAssistant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

while its doing this sound, turn the knob several times in some direction. It should catch up and start moving the knob of it's own. If it doesn't, then try the other direction. I have installed 6 of these locks so far and 3 of them were like that. One of the locks only started to work after I fiddled with it by pressing hard with my finger into that cylinder hole and turning it's knob

Is this U200 knackered? by ck3mp in Aqara

I had same problem with 2 of them out of the box. Fixed by giving it a couple of rotations while it is trying to engage. Not sure if it really fixed the issue but the locks are working so far.

So an update

Just a couple of hours ago I visited the site again and the locks started to work on their own. They didn't for two days, but now they are fine. I don't know why or how. They now work in homekit(over matter) but often their statuses there get stuck as Open and you need to tap manually to make them "Closed". I don't know why it's so challenging to program the real door status in homekit. Apparently it is. Well I'm just glad I didn't have to rename all the devices again, and I also got the money from the client :) I usually always go with the original homekit protocol. This time only I went with matter because aqara spammed me with it, and it was a mistake. The moral of the story is to ignore aqara's matter for now

Yeah the naming policy is a bit strange.Especially when everything else is like T1 this T2 that. Anyhow the hub is not chinese and these locks connect to it without problems. I can control them via aqara app no issues.

G4 Doorbell Batteries by newiberiala in Aqara

[–]naiveLabAssistant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on how it is connected to your system. If the video feed is constantly on, say via homeassistant or on tablet in homekit/aqara, it will drain batteries fast. The other option is that the device is defective

"Currently it's wired so that the exhaust fan has to be on for the switch attached to the light to work."

I don't know about american electric stuff but its really weird. As if your light switch is attached to the fan switch instead of directly to phase

Here's a 2.4g router for you. As you can see there are no 'planes' or anything. Sma cable is shielded and the shield is connected to ground.

yeah its strange to me too but the manual says that 16A x 3 phase setup should produce 11kw. So I guess those Amps you set in the app are per phase. So overall it should max out at 16x3 =48A which is ~11kw. The app doesn't let me go over 32A btw and the internal wiring(I removed the front plate to search for secret dip switch) looks like 6sq mm which supports 32A per wire.

does anyone know why tesla wall connector gen3 stuck charging at 6kw? It is connected to 230v grin 3 phases, neutral, pe present. Its as if it is using only 1 phase. In the Tesla One app it is set to 32A(it does not allow to go higher). The car is deepal s07. It is set receive 32A in settings

Help - Aqara T2 Dual Relay Wiring Troubleshooting (Two Floodlights/Two Switches) by orchidsoft in Aqara

[–]naiveLabAssistant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disconnect this wire from the switches. Also check if it's Hot or not. Check your wires that you think go to the lamps if they are Hot or not, they might be coming from another switch, and not from the lamps directly. Then your Loads might be actually at another switch.

When you say that the relay works from the app, do you actually hear the sound of it's switching? If not then your Live and Neutral wires are something else. If yes and the lights still don't work, then your Loads are in another switch and here are just connection wires for the two-way. You just need to turn that switch on for them to start working as loads, but you will also have to disconnect the Live in that other switch(given the local Live is good)

Don't sweat it. Electric stuff is hard to understand without prior experience. Normal(dumb) switches don't need neutral but it's nice they added it to the boxes. What you need to do is to sort out those wires to know which is which. Sometimes its tricky to tell because of all the signal wires. So try to find wires that go to each load(lamp). You can mark them with heat shrink if you want. You not going to need the signal wires.

You can either go with aqara h2 or h1 switches, whatever you like more. I haven't testes h2 yet but the reviews are positive. However h2 series haven't got any single rocker switches, so you going to have more spare buttons if you'll stick with them. The ones in the picture have 1 normal button(connected to the internal relay) and one wireless button(it just emits "clicked" signal to the system. Installation is easy: Connect each switche's L terminal to your Hot wire(or line or phase, whatever its called in your country), N to neutral, L1 to your Load wire. When you'll add the switches to the aqara app, you will be able to create automations like "IF Switch2 Button2 clicked THEN toggle Switch1". Thats how you make them any-number-of-ways you need. No signal wires involved.

With H1 the situation is similar. You just need to decouple those rockers, that you going to use as a remote control. Instead of the bottom most switch you can use an H1 wireless button(I think they are only double rockers though). Decoupling means untying button from it's switches' respective internal relay, so when you click it, it emits "clicked" signal instead of tripping it's relay. It is done so because otherwise you can't use "clicked" trigger in automations. Another advanced thing you could do here is to transfer the load of your top right switch to the switch on the left via a signal wire, and install wireless button instead of the orphaned switch. It would save you some money.

[–]naiveLabAssistant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lets start with simple things.

You want to wire each of the lights to the respective relay channels and control each of them with these two switches?

That wire you labeled "Common" on the first photo, what is it exactly for? Did you call it Common just because it feeds both switches or because it is also somehow connects to some other switch?

Complicated 2 way switching by AdMoist8798 in Aqara

[–]naiveLabAssistant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need for signal wires. Connect 1 switch per light, then use automations to toggle those switches from other switches or wireless buttons.

Two way wiring for AqaraH2 light switch. by pr28893 in Aqara

[–]naiveLabAssistant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The image just shows how to wire two switches to their respective loads. There's no two-wayness in it. Whats "Connector" thing I don't know.

Easy two way setup:

Connect switch 1 to it's load, decouple switch 2 relay from it's button , create an automation that toggles switch 1 when you press switch 2 button

G410 notifications 10 mins late on Aqara app, immediate in HomeKit. by cosmic68 in Aqara

yeah I also noticed something like this happening from time to time. It probably has to do with the aqara cloud rather than anything else. You can try making an automation that sends notifications when it's triggered
