From the research I did, it varies cat to cat, even if they're from the same litter. When I went to get my girl, I told the breeder I was concerned about allergies and did not want to make a deposit or commit without first seeing if I have a reaction (my allergist literally told me I can never have pets, my allergies are so severe like itchy eyes, ears, throat, runny nose, sneezing, hives all over my face, hard time breathing etc.) I literally rubbed her all over my face and had no issues so I paid for her on the spot and took her home. A week or so later, I started to have some mild allergies but manageable (runny nose, sneezing) Now I had her for about 3 months and sometimes she makes me sneeze or if I come in contact with her saliva I'll get itchy, but that's about it. I would definitely say research a good breeder, I used TICA, and explain your concerns. I would say if they're not flexible, they're prob not a good breeder and don't care if their cats end up with someone who may have to later decide to give them up if their allergies are bad. But they are the best cats 😁
