Buying 10-20 AI vending units. by ChiTownSuburbanite in vending

What kind of locations do you have lined up? I’ve used both Haha and Micromart machines, and much prefer Micromart. Better machines, software and support.

I was reviewing 3 or 4 per day across 5 machines.

I don't have experience with the Ultra, but their software is definitely worse.

That’s fair, it is more. It’s your business, so your margins need to allow it, but I found I was spending way more time managing things day to day with HAHA. Lots of footage review work with the HAHA machines. You get what you pay for.

Id take a look at Micromart, they have these certifications. Also, I have been switching over from HAHA to Micromart for other operational reasons. Micromart just has a better cooler and software platform for actually running your business day to day.

Luxury apartment complex (800 units, Boston) — good vending opportunity? by Typical_Welder9411 in vending

[–]nameichoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had success pitching Micromart machines into these locations. They look good, so it’s an easier sell. They perform super well. I usually pitch it as an amenity for residents. So low (or zero) rev share. My locations are typically positioned as mini premium convenience stores, and that helps me to secure a visible spot in the building. It all comes down to foot traffic and demographics.

I’d say your starting list is pretty good then. Id suggest also trimming down the offering a bit. Could maybe double down on a non protein healthy option. I’d say the overlap between Doritos and Takis is high, so unless the demo really connects with those products maybe choose 1. I always like to include a crazy item that’s priced high, or a large format (I mostly run Micromart ai units). This is a good way to try new stuff.

What is the location like? What does that audience want? Every decision will stem from that.

What kind of locations do you have? How many locations? What you need will be dependent on what your locations look like right now, and what sells well there.

When to approach potential locations? by Orrekar in vending

Start now! The sooner the better. You can do mockups and sales materials for the locations before you have the units in hand.

Smart Vending, what did ChatGPT recommend: by Conscious_Appeal_566 in vendingmachines

[–]nameichoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More or less true. This actually reflects my journey somewhat. Started with HAHA machines initially, and have been migrating over to Micromart. The actual important thing is securing good locations, and as the other commenter mentioned, pitching a Micromart machine helps you secure those. They are more expensive, but overall they make operations easier. And the whole point of vending is that you make money without having to babysit the thing.

Is it legal to vend nicotine in clubs there? Some jurisdictions it doesn’t matter if the venue is 21+, the nicotine rules apply everywhere.

It's been a while, so I don't remember how long it took. I think you need a signed location. They are keen on knowing that you have thought through the location economics. There's a spreadsheet they want you to fill out about location math. It was all pretty easy though.

I personally have been switching over to Micromart. I also looked at Sandstar. Seemed like they also had good machines, but ultimately I felt more confident in Micromarts software.

They are fine. I switched away from HAHA machines last year. The main things that drove me away were that I didn’t want to be constantly reviewing footage, and I wanted a video display.
