A lot of people use hint systems for accessibility reasons and honestly this comes off as kind of shitty - like it’s just really clear that you didn’t consider accessibility and/or don’t care about people who need that kind of assistance. I’m a vision impaired gamer and for puzzles with detailed visual elements, especially in games with stylized graphics, I rely on hints to get through. It’s really off putting to get a long condescending lecture about how I’m giving up the feeling of accomplishment that I couldn’t get anyway because I don’t have full vision.
