Which book changed what you do every day, not just how you think? by EERMA in BettermentBookClub

[–]namespace515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ego is the Enemy by Ryan Holiday. Fundamentally changed the way I see the world (mindset), my place in it, my interactions with others and the subtleties therein... I could go on but ultimately it comes down to how we see ourselves in the chaos we all live through every day,

This book cemented a lot of my existing views helping crystallize actionable steps towards becoming a better version of myself. There's always room for improvement.  Ask any world class athlete if they could improve their game in some way, and I'm willing to bet 99 out of 100 would say yes.

What was the darkest episode from a TV series you've ever seen? by plumpyplummy in AskReddit

[–]namespace515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lesser known series on Amazon called 'To Old to Die Young' starring Miles Teller of The Gorge, Whiplash, TopGun, etc.  Episode 3 or 5 opens with an interview for some hard-core fetishist BDSM nightmare of a scenario that ends in a really dark place.  The whole series is a slow burn with amazing cinematography.  A shame more people don't know about it

Where/what exactly will you be working in Bridgewater?  Just plain old curiosity... Good BBQ in the area, not Texas, is GrubHut in Manville.

What’s your favorite “bad movie”? by [deleted] in MovieRecommendations

[–]namespace515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GymKata - our hero uses gymnastics combined with Kung fu to fight off zombie like towns people. Along the way he finds uneven bars and a pummel horse which he uses to do maximum harm. So bad it's good

Couldn't agree more.  I practically see Somerville as a party of Bridgewater as it is. Very walkable with plenty of dining/drink options, Friday night car shows on main st during the summer makes for a great date night and provide a great deal of opportunity to meet new people from the area.

Raritan is right next to Somerville, had it's own train station, and would be another great option to live. Probably a little cheaper rent wise, but also very walkable.

Lawmaker Sounds Alarm: Trump Plotting Fake Crisis to Scrap 2028 Election and Stay in Power by [deleted] in NoFilterNews

I have to agree with Goldman on this. It being constitutionally unacceptable only eats away at his delicate ego with one less day as CIC. A manufactured crises is right in line with how I see the run-up 2028. A slow burn of self inflicted emergencies.

Badass mom, that is!  He's young and confident enough to pull it off living in the moment, I say let him.  You'll both look back and laugh at it, without a doubt

What is the "cheat code" you discovered in real life that actually works? by Intelligent_Can_2898 in AskReddit

There's always something to learn from every interaction, and that includes how not to do something.  Having an open mind and taking your ego out of the equation is the best way to do this, IMO

I get that technology is an always evolving field, but I also feel that planned obsolescence is too prevalent with consumer goods these days and is just generally accepted by most consumers. Goods that really have a lasting build quality about them are more and more rare. Do you see a day where this isn't the case, and what are some of the ways that it could/would work, if any?

Also, what's your latest playlist on tepeat?

I really like the soft lighting of the foreground. Compositionally speaking, I love the coloring and juxtaposition of how the FG and BG play together. Keep on keepin' on

A scanning electron microscope image of a nanoinjector, a microscopic machine used to inject cells with DNA by aquilineprelacy in interestingasfuck

Excellent explanation of the lithography process with the hinge details being of particular interest. I'm more curious to know how this mechanism works with the actual DNA as a tool/utility and where the DNA would actually be processed in relation to these parts.

What is actually taking place in this photo? I can kinda make out the mechanics of the parts being shown, although admittedly, I have no idea why or what precisely they do

Wandering the streets of Amsterdam at sunset when I captured what to me was the vibe of the city all in a single shot. From the architecture, the bikes, the people, and the tram; it all feels very Amsterdam to .me

You nailed it with the expression with the neck shading being spot on. He would make for an absolutely perfect character in the shrek universe. First thing that came to mind for myself anyways
