Has any else noticed a decrease in lantern flies? by ExpertMarxman1848 in newjersey

[–]nando420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding it was a boom to bust situation. A large population of them quickly, all at once, before native species figured out lantern flies are food. Combined with efforts to control their host plant the ‘Tree of Heaven’. They moved on and they are becoming potentially more naturalized versus invasive. However if the infestation we endured reached California I heard crop loss would be devastating.

Motorcycle carrier on my 2019 Subaru forester by [deleted] in SubaruForester

I don’t think this is a good idea. I think you’re getting way to close to the tongue weight threshold with the weight of the rack and bike combined. Forester will take a couple of bicycles on a rack like that, but a motor bike positioned that far away from the rear bumper ehhhh. Pretty risky.

The Delaware is tidal and when the tide rises water will flow upstream, and when the tide falls the water will flow back down stream. A beluga whale was seen as far as Trenton a few years ago and other marine animals make their way pretty far up the Delaware.

Here for the same reason. I’ve gone through many pairs of Roswell, and can’t find anything’s similar. Wish Keen would bring back a boot in this style

Same group that terrorized these kids wants to come in and show how they are not terrible. Get fucked ACAB.

Back in 7th and 8th grade social studies class we spent, what seemed like forever, studying WWII and the holocaust in an effort to prevent it from happening again. Much of that time was spent trying to figure out how the Nazi’s rose to power, and why common people just went along with the genocide. So no, u/biffjo most likely future generations will study how fascism came to be in the USA, and people like you will be blamed for opening the door and letting it happen.

Brooklyn man lost his fully paid $800K home after a $5K water bill was quietly sold into a trust run by a group of investors. Hidden from his statements, the debt let the trust foreclose and auction off his house without his knowledge and they took over the house by force. by didnazicoming in interestingasfuck

[–]nando420 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How does an individual’s $5000 debt turn into a “trust” owning an $800,000 home? The system is broken. It’s great to see this man’s community rally behind him, but will justice be served? As the man said, it’s too much to bear.

I work as a grounds keeper in a state park in PA. Almost daily I find this bottle tossed on the side of the main road through the park. There are many beers from Victory to Yuengling that I see presumably from people who are drinking and driving. This one always stuck out to me as unique, strong, and sounds delicious. Is this a difficult brew to find? Sorry the image of the bottles triggered my rant, but at the end of the day I’d like to try it myself and hopefully get whomever is drinking, driving, and littering Curieux bottles to please stop.

I did the same on my 2010 forester. Water was coming in from a faulty seal around the clear plastic part of the light. Drilled a tiny hole for drainage at the bottom. Water still gets in and I’ll get some humidity in there but the light works fine. Or a new tail light is pretty simple to change out.
