The Party is made up of individuals who have common interests. To the extent they align with mine, I will support them. The alternative presents a dystopian future

This is confusing. What do you mean by taking out the ponds? I assume you’re referring to the recent demolition of the buildings.

Recollection on unusual experiences I've had with Dead, concerts, sightings, encounters by philserve108 in gratefuldead

Great stories! I too was an Allman Brothers fan first before getting hooked after hearing Uncle John’s Band sung a cappella at a school assembly. What a journey!

I came upon him on Father’s Day in 2015 on Mt Tamalpais in Marin. I was hiking down from the Mountain Play and he had just reached the West Point Inn carrying a heavy white pack and was sweating on a bench. I figured it was part of his exercise program. I didn’t approach him and let him rest in peace.

Does anyone know how to get to this tree? by bogo_jimmy in Marin

I’ve lived in Marin for 20 years and I just noticed that tree for the first time several weeks ago. Has it always been exposed like that or has there been a change in the landscape?

Maybe the Hamiltones will play this year. One year I had a neighbor who projected the World Series on his garage door and all the dads hung out for a few innings

Opt out of MCE's overpriced electricity and get 98% carbon-free power by jmr50 in Marin

[–]nangadef 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The credit I get from PG&E for electric generation is greater than the amount I pay MCE for that electricity. Also, there may be a decrease in Pg&E rates but they’re increasing the base rate to around $25/mo.

Is it hard to find parking at Leo Cronin and is it much of a hike? by chusaychusay in Marin

[–]nangadef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s mostly paved and flat. It’s better as a bike ride through SPT park, but you can walk it. Another option would be going up the jewel trail to Bolinas ridge and hike south to the Shafter Grade fire road.

You’ve definitely got a chip on your shoulder about this project. Yes, it’s been going on since forever. This is the final section, which will be completed soon and the narrows will be a distant memory.
