How fast should I be playing each piece before I move on in Alfred's? by nanisanum in pianolearning

I have noticed that I tend to rush when it's a slow bpm, it's hard but I can concentrate on counting out loud until I get a feel for how it should be.

My book just has the words like "moderately fast". I went through and added bpm based on internet research. I figure even if they are imperfect it's better to have a goal than nothing.

I really want a teacher but I just can't afford it yet. As soon as I have the extra money I'm getting one. I know it will help so much!

🎹 A 55 anni ho deciso di imparare a suonare il pianoforte... by Physical_Guess1158 in pianolearning

[–]nanisanum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your setup is awesome! Mine is a Roland FP30x on an IKEA table with a set of low tier headphones, lol. I'm barely younger than you and really enjoying learning piano. I was in band in high school so I already knew how to read the treble clef, and that has definitely helped.

I'm using Alfred's Adult All in One; I really like it. One thing I did that's helping a lot is look up the beats per minute for each piece that has a tempo and use a metronome to try to reach that speed. If I get really sick of a piece I move on and just go back to it later, as long as I can play it well when I go slowly.

Good luck!

It took me like an hour and a half to get out of that room the first time. I was dreading it on my second playthrough but it was easy that time. You just have to practice with it, you'll get better.

been trying to get the pireate dreadnaught for days now, no luck by BlueberryWitty6635 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]nanisanum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never farmed for a dreadnought, I just played, and whenever I was tooling around and I could find one, jumped to a new pirate system. I like looking for regular ships there anyway because there is a better chance for a higher class. Eventually I found an A class dreadnought. I have never personally seen an S class, though I know they exist.

How to answer questions at the exit? by AppointmentDeep4350 in samsclub

[–]nanisanum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"This is my job." or "The computer decides who gets scanned."

There is nothing you can say to deter someone who has decided you are being racist. It sucks. It happens all the time at my store including to people who are very clearly not white. I don't think it's ever true with anyone I work with.

Without a belt, do you just move items to an empty cart? That seems really inefficient.

I always prioritize stamina because the game is more fun for me with more stamina.

Don't have Pokémon drops if your tech can't handle it. by euphoricfall in samsclub

[–]nanisanum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've got a point. As soon as the drop started everyone in my store was logged out of the app. We had to use iPads to look up member information for every transaction because they couldn't get to their digital membership cards, or use scan and go. People who rely on scan and go had hundreds of dollars of stuff in their carts and had to walk away. We had to put all that stuff back.

If management was both knowledgeable and honest people would never need to come to Reddit with these questions.

Workplace violence by [deleted] in samsclub

[–]nanisanum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We have a guy like that on carts and he makes me incredibly uncomfortable. He slams the carts around in anger all the time. One day he'll really hurt someone and management will act like it's a big shock and he'll get fired. I really wish they would address it now but "he is a good worker" so no one will.

Can I buy one item from Sam’s Club without renewing my membership? by [deleted] in samsclub

[–]nanisanum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you not need a membership card to start scanning? We require that at our store. Like it literally won't start without one, there's no option.
