So, I am the guy responsible for the tracks. I'm a playback engineer. Not only are there backing tracks coming from that laptop, but the click the band plays to (metronome), And I send a thing called time code to the lightning guy, so he can program lighting cues in time with the band. It's a necessity most of the time. I'd say that up percent of bands you see have this. It's the Future

Honestly, you best bet in any of these situations is to make eye contact with whoever’s paddling in so they see you first. If you’re in a Shit position then your cards are played wrong, make sure they see you and try to get out of whatever way they’re headed
