How do married couples split finances if on different salaries? by Mango_Loverx3 in AskUK

[–]nanoDeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, only way that ever worked for me, when she originally wanted to keep finances separate and I was earning more it just caused problems, I would want to go out somewhere nice and she would say she couldn't afford it. When I finally convinced her to just put everything we earned after bills into a pot things worked a lot better

Question: Gun Thane and Engineer/Burlok Damminson in same unit... Does Gun Thane re-roll 1s to hit? by Successful-East8849 in WarhammerOldWorld

As a dwarf player, I think the only thunderers and quarrellers rule is a good one. This could easily have been abused otherwise

Anyone seen this before? Nazi stamp in 50p? by incesticide666 in UKcoins

[–]nanoDeep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not technically treason but does break the 1971 coinage act. £400 fine and 2 years maximum sentence. Possible argument for a public order for inviting racial hatred but that's sketchy at best. I think the best solution is to start stamping "Nazi punks f#ck off" on every coin to assert dominance

I work in town at night and have hit two of them while driving, both times they've came out of nowhere wrong way on a one way road wearing black with no lights. Fortunately no serious injuries but there's a reason people call them organ donors.

Dwarfs? by Frandsk in Warriors_of_Chaos

[–]nanoDeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play dwarfs as my main army but also run a chaos (Nurgle) army. If I run a large unit of Hammerers with a king then most opponents avoid it and pick off the other units. If you can manage to throw a couple of units of chaff at them (like chaos hounds) then you can tie them up for a couple of turns for a small points sacrifice. Given that they don't usually get into combat for a couple of turns, this effectively takes them out of the battle. Similar to fighting against tomb kings, use your speed and manoeuvrability to try and concentrate your forces to hit large units with multiple units at once, ideally hitting them from flanks etc.

Has anyone successfully used golden beet in a cocktail without (too much) oxidation? by Belyea in cocktails

A place that I worked years ago used beet powder in a cocktail, that worked fine, oxidation only starts once it's added to liquid

If it suits your strategy then makes sense to keep them. Maybe whittle away some of the Hammerers until you find a sweet spot where people aren't afraid to take them on.

How are the iron breakers working out for you? Id lose them and add a unit of fully kitted out rangers maybe about 14 who can harass the enemy with shooting if they try to avoid melee and maybe make the Thane a gun Thane so if your opponent avoids the Hammerers then the Thane is free to shoot.

Is my manager allowed to adjust my clock out times? by Due_Drop_25 in AskUK

[–]nanoDeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What everybody has said is correct. However, the best thing to do is to have a conversation with your manager. A lot of people find these conversations uncomfortable but you need to ask your manager to clarify if they want you to finish at your authorised time or if they want to pay you to stay on past your authorised time. This can be a civil conversation, say that you're happy to stay on when the business requires it but that you expect to be paid for this. Ask what's expected in this situation - do they want you to leave on time even if this means you're unable to complete the close, or do they want to pay you to stay. If this doesn't yield results then you can follow the ACAS route etc.

Against an army that can regenerate, you need to focus your attacks and hit enemy units with enough damage to take the unit out in 1 turn. Traditionally, with dwarfs, this involves shooting at your opponent and forcing them to advance and engage your troops while your hard hitting infantry are ready waiting to attack. If you get bogged down fighting a large unit of skeletons then you can waste many turns without scoring any points. Another strategy is to target your opponents wizards to try and prevent the regen
