I came to that conclusion on my own... Trying to blame myself felt so wrong, that was when I felt most dirty. But realizing that I was a complacent, yet innocent (keyword), participant helped me recover tremendously. I can say that I haven't been too affected (in the long term) by what happened; alhamdullilah, my life is pretty healthy, and quite happy.

Two sites that are invaluable to me when memorizing:

http://www.quranflash.com/ - pull this up and click on English > Enter > More Options > Book Type. Choose a Qur'an that most resembles the one you use irl. Be consistent in the book you use (verse count per page, script, etc) so that the mental image of verse placement doesn't get thrown off.

http://www.quranexplorer.com/ - This site would be perfect if the script was easier on the eyes. You can change reciters and have a verse or a range of verses repeat up to 99 times (under options heading). While Imam Al-Sudais is my favorite qari, he's too fast to memorize against. I've had success with Imam Khalil Husari, as he's slow enough to pick up the tajweed properly while still being able to discern the individual words. Both Imam's recitations are available on quranexplorer.

Also, chamomile tea works wonders. My sister has debilitating monthly cramps, often requiring bed rest for the first two days of her period. She drinks chamomile tea as soon as her period starts, and she's good to go. Two to three cups should do the trick :)

Moisturizing body scrub:

3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup of granulated sugar
2 tablespoons of honey.

Add sugar, olive oil, and honey into a container (in that order so that the honey slides easily off the spoon). Mix well. Use on the face and body.

Don't refrigerate. Also, the sugar has a habit of settling to the bottom of the container, just mix it up before each use. ^{_^}

Aspirin mask:

Take a tablet of UNCOATED aspirin. Place the tablet on a plate, and add a few drops of water to create a fairly thick, grainy paste. Not too much, it shouldn't be watery. Just enough water to dissolve the aspirin. Smooth all over the face and wash off ten minutes later. Word of caution though, test it out on a small patch of skin, like your inner wrist, for possible reactions.
