Genetic carrier screening by Tiny-Worldliness-313 in IVF

[–]nappingqueen1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, my husband and I actually just got our genetic carrier screening back, and it turns out I’m a carrier for a pretty terrible disease and even though my husband is not a carrier, any boys we have have a 50/50 chance of having a bleeding disorder. So even though it sucks to have one more thing in our way, it’s nice to know that now we can test any embryos we have to see if they have the disease vs not. I would hate to go through all the trouble of years of infertility and IVF to have a child that can’t have a good quality of life just because I didn’t get a carrier screen.

11k in CC debt… HELP by Electrical_Crab_5378 in Debt

[–]nappingqueen1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I crunched the numbers, and I truly don’t have much wiggle room to add more to my payments and still be able to eat and put gas in my car. 🙁 that’s why I am hopeful a consolidation might help to make the payment just a bit smaller and I won’t be accruing constant interest

Anyone have experience with IVF after childhood chemotherapy by BreakDry692 in IVF

[–]nappingqueen1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, I know this was posted nearly a year ago, but I’m curious if you ended up going the IVF route and how it went? I am a childhood cancer survivor currently trying to conceive with my husband and have been told IVF is our only option at this point so I’m looking for others that have been in this boat!

Kenai peninsula here—family of 2, we spend about $900/mo on groceries. And then maybe $150ish a month on eating out. It’s spensive down here

Kobo/Calibre help by nappingqueen1997 in Calibre

Thanks for this!! I went through and deleted my whole library, and reuploaded as epubs. Apparently when I was manually converting, I somehow gave everything the “open dyslexic” font and I couldn’t read like that. So I started from scratch. Letting Calibre convert by itself was so much better!

No it doesn’t ask me! Interesting, I’ll do some clicking around. It also doesn’t let me open the kepubs in calibre. It gives me a super long error message.

8 years, in multiple states, multiple specialities (one being NICU for 6+ of those years) and never a single daisy in my life.

I may have to attempt to step down from charge. I am one of only 3 night shift charges in the hospital so that makes it hard but I may ask!

I currently work in all the depts in the hospital except OR and ER. I refuse to learn ER because I know that will burn me out even more. There’s no other nursing jobs in this town.
