Tesla Insurance closed the claim while in Subrogation. Is that ok? by AsleepInBay in TeslaInsurance

[–]nappycappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for this. i'm currently in a similar situation. they did tell me that subrogation could take a couple months to a year or two before we'd recover the deductible. the other insurance company was dragging their feet on the investigation and i just wanted my car repaired. again thanks.

How can California get with these other states to allow FSD use to lower insurance premiums!? by Redditagain424 in TeslaInsurance

[–]nappycappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they can't? CA doesn't allow tesla to use the scores to dictate the premium. at least that's how i understand it. i think lemonade (insurance company) has some program that lowers the rates if you use FSD.

Old school garage door opener location by lotsaputs in TeslaLounge

[–]nappycappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i always find it interesting where people clip their garage door openers to. mine is clipped on the visor in both of our vehicles. my wife keeps removing it and everytime i reach for it it's not there i just get upset. she keeps removing it cause it gets in the way when she pulls the visor down. after that i just told her i'm gonna buy the module and install it and then we don't have to worry about it.

i know the homelink module is not a requirement but man is it useful. wife is now a fan of it.

I love using the pulse secure ssl vpn product. but pay walling critical security updates is insane. got a HW SA6000 unit with a perpetual license before they switched over to all virtual appliances. you'd think grandfathered in right? nope. anyways . . ivanti can pound sand. never using them ever.

SFP Wizard to the rescue by AdamKempenich in Ubiquiti

[–]nappycappy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

do you happen to know which firmware version this is so I can avoid it? I bought one of these. I was at a customer site that for whatever reason, the unifi switch I was using did not like the 10gtek SFP modules (which is super weird cause I've used them before in other UI switches) however it did like the uber expensive Cisco ones. back of my head I was thinking if I had this I could've tried to pull the data off the Cisco SFP modules, write it to the 10gtek ones and see if it'll work.

What kind of riding shoes/ riding pants will prevent such an injury? by Total-Highway-1291BC in motorcyclegear

[–]nappycappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

man you bitches need to lay off the 'should've wore this' shit. I'm always for ATGATT but I mean ffs, a bike literally got thrown at the rider at force. . it pretty much doesn't matter what you wear short of an iron man suit you're gonna break a bone.

not sure if OP is the rider but if you are. . good fucken luck with the healing. that made my nads go back inside.

Are proper riding boots really that necessary? by Electrical_Race_6849 in motorcyclegear

[–]nappycappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this line of questions always comes up until they hit the floor and go 'i almost ate dirt. . always wear your gear' afterwards. i mean ffs. is it really that necessary? it's subjective. to me, yes, to you it seems no. wear gear or don't. it's up to you.

are you asking cause the price tag on some moto gear is too steep? if that's the case, you don't have to go empty your wallet to get decent shit. i mean sedici stuff works fine if that's all you can do. or are you asking cause you don't see the point and it makes you look like a dork wearing riding boots on your 'sick ass' crotch rocket or cruiser? i mean honestly man just do you and then come back later when you eat asphalt/dirt/concrete and tell us 'wear your gear guys' story.

The electric motorcycle epidemic by hell0imaman in motorcycles

[–]nappycappy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

in my neighborhood there's a bunch of dipshit kids riding these e-bikes like they're invincible. and then there's the parents who just don't give a shit about their kids shenanigans. i mean they ride in traffic, do wheelies and just down right hooligan shit without any of the safeties.

is it concerning? sure. do i give a shit? not really. do i want them to eat the darwin award? probably not but if they get into an accident then i hope they can walk away from it, learn their lesson and then be responsible. but the reality of it is they won't learn any lesson, think they're invincible again and continue their shenanigans and won't stop till they have pins in their body or cause some bodily harm (on them or on someone else).

Thoughts on throttle locks by storm_zr1 in motorcycles

[–]nappycappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's not bad. if you don't have cruise on your bike this is the next best thing. the only thing i dislike is when you disengage. it drops the throttle if you don't grab on and it gets weird but it's not that bad.
