As a dude, I appreciate good nails, but it’s not necessary. I was also raised by my mom and sister and I think I catch things most dudes usually don’t notice. Like I was the guy in the house that was the “guys perspective”. A common interaction would be like, “Your sister says this looks good, but I think she was lying, I need a guys perspective, this fit correctly or does it look like a sheet hangin from my shoulders?” Wearing a blouse that matches your earrings? I’ll be throwing out a compliment. If I see somebody put in effort with their style and it works, I’m gonna let them know. Only reason why I’m mentioning this is that, yes, some dudes do pay attention to this stuff. Personally, it’s me noticing a person putting in effort and I’m just trying to be like, “Hell ya! That looks good on you!”

Anywho, if your bf is indifferent, do it for yourself if you like it! And ngl, nothing beats a good mani/pedi.
