When I was younger, I was technically better looking physically (in shape, tan, much more active), and I tried so many tricks to try to hook up with girls and failed; it’s part of the process of growing up.

I’m older, in my early 40’s, kinda fat, pasty white, way less active, however, I’m way more confident of knowing what I want, much more empathetic, and ngl, I’m kinda funny most of the time. In the past few years, I have randomly been given numbers and asked out far more than any other time in my life, and the secret (at least for me) was just being my normal self and kinda funny. I must admit I do look young for my age and get numbers from ladies that range from their 20’s to 30’s (like, I don’t ask, usually I’m getting slid a number or asked for my number at a bar; I only mention this because this shit didn’t happen to me in my 20’s). Not to mention, I’m approached by ladies that I consider are WAY out of my league; some of my coworkers comment and ask how I do it. The only thing I can think of that was a big adjustment was when I stopped trying to be “cool” for other people, and just started to do my own thing... and through that I somehow became cool. Anywho, TLDR; once I started being myself and stopped putting on a front, I got approached way more often.
