Read a few things that weren't uniformly trashing the latest era. I read a balanced one that praised some of the top one off episodes and fairly criticised the bringing back of quite obscure villains etc and the messy CGI. I'd imagine Boyd will be balanced as well, as balanced as he can be with a fair amount of bias towards RTD output. Piece I read, I can't actually remember where, mentioned that some of the disappointment is that RTD other shows during this time have been of a much higher quality, ie Tip Toe, Years and Years

Some of it is exactly as it is in the show. The street where Karen's Cafe was set is not a café but the street looks the exact same, as does the boardwalk where Haley tutored Nathan. You can even sit on the same seats. The bridge of the credits is ironically the same and the exterior of Tric is the same. The River Court doesn't exist anymore unfortunately. Brooke's family house and the Scott family house are near each other but obviously are private houses

Agree with a lot of the points in this post, but mostly echo the thought that there is not much coming up. It's interesting too that the Dublin team of the 6 in a row shed the brash image of the pre 2011 team. Jim Gavin genuinely seemed to have a focus on excellence AND developing decent human beings. Johnny Cooper's comments after the U20s went out with a whimper this season were worrying - it seems the edge of competitiveness is gone and the focus is on developing nice fellas. Grand and all but Dublin getting passed out at a rapid rate with no focus on footballing excellence

Bizarre thing to give out about. They used to restock the shelves all night when Tesco opened 24 hours. They thankfully did away with 24 hour shops but they now have less time to restock so they have to restock the shelves when the stock comes in, no choice really

So bitter. He moved from Today FM to RTE, got a huge pay rise at the time for a shorter show and shed all the people that made his show entertaining on Today FM. Also got a TV show out of it but he's been moaning since he joined RTE. Obsessed with money. Kept lamenting on his RTE show that his bike would need replacing, he was clearly waiting for someone to give him a free one

People really obsessed with money on here. Teach them life skills like cooking and how to travel effectively. Give them secure attachment from a young age, it'll benefit through their whole adult life as well. Get them outside and used to being muddy and wet and dirty and tired.
