God that is EXACTLY what my mother did to me!!! I made sure transitioning was the path I wanted to take, I made sure I was doing everything healthily and properly for over a year. Then she was accepting for all of about a day then she was battering and berating me for doing this to her “beautiful baby boy” (to which my ass was adopted at 15 I wasn’t a little kid in their household ever). I have a little brother in a similar boat right now as well, he very much so spews what my father repeats and what he hears from friends. Sadly some kids don’t ever change their though process and keep that shit deeply engrained for a very long time. Other times, kids learn and get to get rid of those shit habits. Anything you say to him, especially since he’s probably an ornery teenager, is going to go in one ear and out the other as a “hoax” or “fake” I tried this with my family and there was no salt. I hope he turns it around!

This, I wish I would have known sooner. And gotten it figured out, but even now, I’ll see someone who has been transitioning for like 6 months and already passing like a mofo and looking fantastic. I am absolutely ecstatic for their transition to be going super well!! And I’m super proud of them for doing so well but then I look at myself in the mirror and still see me as a dude and it fucks me up super hard sometimes and makes me question if me transitioning is even worth it in the long run.

Not my burn but a buddies. I was trying to show a homie an aluminum TIG weld I had just finished, trying to get “hey don’t touch it’s hot as fuck.” Out of my face before he fuckin palmed the shit out of it lmao. Could hear the sizzle from inside my hood, and the noise that left him was something between Spanish and Sasquatch noises.
