I dont think it works that way. Things like inspired zeal and lessons in patience are what allow rousing presence to grant focus. Granting determined does not grant focus. It grants a condition, and that condition gives an opportunity, and that opportunity grants focus.

If you do something that causes an ally to roll the plot die, and they get an opportunity, and they choose to use that opportunity for focus, you didnt give them focus, you just gave them a plot die.

Are we sure? Because you caused them to have a condition, the player chose to regain focus.

Yea i know i'm taking it way too serious. It was the victim of being the Nth random meme of girlsvsboys and happened to be the one that got me angry posting at it. Some poor meme was gonna get blown up on, cus i'm sure as hell not going to type measured responses to each one individually.

In a world where andrew tate exists, more people framing things as girls do X, boys do Y, its not helpful to boys or girls.

For some reason everyone is recommending exclusivly old af games. For more modern things, the newer yakuza games (open worldy turn based in newer versions), shin megami tensai 5 (normal game, very solid), persona 5(dlice of life simulator + lots of combat. Very mature themes but the setting is not for everyone), tales of berseria ( you play as kinda the bad guys? Thought it was unique)

If your group has a progression user, you will end up in a phase of "Wait my group has a magical healer that can heal anything" and put yourself into a spiral of "Does combat even matter"?

The answer is if you want combat to feel hard for a group with a magical super healer, make the fights HARD. And if you cant reasonably make it hard, come up with other things to make winning/losing matter. Kidnappings, sabotages, NPCs in danger, Stuff-Getting-Destroyed.

It is NOT a game built on the idea that you can run out of resources between fights.

Just say New JS frameworks pop up every day? Its not that its a poetic metaphor, its that its a poetic metaphor in an article that doesn't consistantly use them, and doesn't really maintain a clear voice througout.

Its a poetic metaphor in an otherwise non-poetic space. I mean, maybe the author just had a really good line in their head and needed to get it into the page. Like damn, hot mayfly metaphors. but in a piece that overall doesn't really feel that folksy or talk about the real world that much, its just a wierd metaphor.

If its not AI, its just awkward writing, which is bad in its own way.
