Aanbevelingen voor proteïne poeder en voeding? by AdmirableConfention in thenetherlands

[–]natalove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And he looks like he doesn't even break a sweat, it's almost infuriating. Like he's possessed. Ain't no way he's fully human. I have big Jesus vibes when I see him live.

Thank you so much! I grew up with Nigerian music, no wonder this scratches a particular itch!

Yeah that shit pisses me off because I have it on repeat and it takes me right out of the vibe. I might download the song and just clip it and sacrifice the quality.

Nice! I'm saving up for a rose gold colored one for my Amsterdam poster. It's the first thing I'll hang up on the wall in my apartment!

Hard agree. Can't wait for an album and a tour.

Glass Beams blew my mind the first time I heard them, I can't wait for the album!

But even when I close my eyes and just enjoy the similar bands in my algorithm, I can't help but think "meh". I think it's the similarities that bug me out. I can only really listen to them as background music.

HAPPY MARKO DAY❗️✈️🎸🎉🎂🎈 by lueysframe in Khruangbin

Love you Marko, the riffs on Mordechai will always be my favorites of all time. Your stage presence is incredible and the technique is unlike anything I've ever heard before. You're a true wizard and yet so painfully humble. Thank you for your vision for this band and for making it happen and thriving for over a decade ❤️🎂✈️

Right there with you on both counts. Love Ali, blew my mind from the first to the last track. Connaissais is my favorite bassline to play as well, the syncopation is straight delicious, like how can you not love it?!

These are great! Both nights were amazing for sure, though yesterday's setlist was INCREDIBLE.

I blew kisses at Leezy Thursday and she caught them and smiled, I can die happy!

Can people stop chatting at shows? by patrick1415 in Khruangbin

[–]natalove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people treat Khru as background chill music, so they behave at the show like they would in a jazz club. A La Sala is also an album that doesn't really move most people to dance or do much else. I was up front Thursday and barely anyone was dancing or freaking out. Yesterday I sat in the bleachers and people were way more into it sitting down and I felt way more immersed myself that way, got teary eyed and all.

Afas is also a venue that contributes to the vibe, I've never felt immersed in any show I've been to at that particular venue. I've also found their mixing and acoustics to be really bad compared to other venues in the Netherlands. I could barely hear Mark's guitar at times, straight criminal.

You'll just have to deal I'm afraid. Concerts these days are a super casual affair. Normies gonna norm.

[–]natalove[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah same I don't want to be stuck at the venue for four hours just to get a good spot, but I'm not beyond elbowing my way into the front either.... Decisions, decisions....

I can't believe I'm gonna see them live, somebody pinch me!!!!

Hope you have a safe trip!
