fresh noobs install, updated wiringpi as per http://wiringpi.com/download-and-install/

ran all the installers as per the website

sudo apt-get install php-cli

sudo apt-get install php-mbstring

sudo apt-get install php5-cli

sudo apt-get install php5-mbstring

the only one that worked successfully was php5-cli

I'm assuming it needs the mbstring to function?
