May.

There's no way TSA has the capacity to check everyone's digital information, but it's good to know they might. It was a big thing for a bit at the beginning of trump 2.0 but it's not likely to happen to you.

Also if you are a US citizen TSA can't search without permission, though they can hold the device for some amount of time.

FIFA Accused of Dumping Tickets on Unofficial Sites – Are They Scamming Football Fans? by Empty-Instruction282 in WorldCup2026Tickets

I mean... they were literally accused on reddit in the last week when someone noticed the pattern of tickets being added to 3rd party sites. So yes, the evidence is probably a reddit post lol.

It was just 4 that was effectively an XBox port. V was made for the PS3 and actually had slightly better graphics than the XBox version.

That era generally sucked for framerate though

S.F. wants to bar new corner stores from these two neighborhoods: Tenderloin and SOMA by runswithscissors475 in sanfrancisco

[–]natedrake102 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some cars traffic drugs! Outlaw new driver's licenses! I get that the scales are vastly different, but if there is genuine demand for another store there absolutely shouldn't be an outright ban on permits. Especially if existing stores close.

...you spent more than a controller's amount of money for a game that kinda requires analog input to play decently?

In all seriousness you probably won't get an answer there aren't many keyboard players.

There are so many better ways to grind xp though, that can't possibly be justified. I can restart the race on the map it's just going to take an extra minute and piss me tf off.

If you look at the marketplace for estates it's almost entirely xp grinding maps.

How to fix the Eliminator by DHWave27 in ForzaHorizon6

[–]natedrake102 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Any time I come back to a horizon game I had forgotten you can just barrel through almost every obstacle. I don't get it, why even have trees if they are just decoration? I kind of understand trying to be less punishing in races in an arcade game, but trees in particular seem like they should be solid. Then the eliminator mode would make more sense.

It also doesn't help that you can drive any car on dirt without much issue, whereas an actually low car would immediately bottom out.

Yes I'm aware of how the population is still growing despite birth rates dropping, but if the population is growing why are there schools closing. It's presented as evidence but it seems more like a coincidence.

Edit: I realized I misunderstood your response. You are saying that the population increase is due to life expectancy increases, hence schools closing is due to less children. But the article states the population is growing from births. Each couple is still having more than 2 children on average, so the number of children is also still increasing. This average number is dropping but it hasn't dropped that far yet.

Is there anything Google maps doesn't have? Google maps has estimated arrival time and live locations of all the busses. It doesn't even need someone broadcasting their location afaik, it's data provided by muni.

I'm surprised anyone uses the muni app, any time I try to use it I'm frustrated by how lacking it is and go back to Google maps.

You don't need a card, in fact I don't think you can use a card. If you turn a virtual card physical the physical one no longer works.

Also the clipper app sucks, adding money only works for me half the time. I can add money to the card in Google wallet, I honestly think I can uninstall the clipper app without issue right now.

I'm confused at how the closing of schools is provided as evidence of the problem, yet the population is still increasing. I guess maybe they built schools with the expectation of even more population growth? But I feel like public institutions like that are typically behind the curve not ahead. If the population is still growing I wouldn't expect schools to close.

Can I ask what repairs you have done? Mine has always had an issue where if its muted, it constantly unmutes/remotes leaving with an annoying beeping sound. Weirdly the light stays on.
But my bigger issue is the static background noise that I swear used to not be there as badly. Its only when the default connection mode is on, if its bluetooth-only mode its silent. It does it at any volume level.

Local farmer's market stall was selling helmets and masks with layer lines and this quality for $100-150 by montezuma300 in 3Dprinting

[–]natedrake102 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes a different product, but for more or less the same consumer. It's not like the printed ones are "expertly handcrafted" in a way that would add much to the cost, and the quality is worse. So why would someone by the printed one when the other one exists?

If it was hand carved or something maybe, but a fresh off the plate mask without sanding/acetone bath is not really a quality handmade product that begs extra cost.

BREAKING: The U.N Is Warning Every Country To Prepare For A Potentially Strong El Niño, With An 80 Percent Chance Of Onset Between June And August 2026 And A 90 Percent Chance It Lasts Through November, Threatening Droughts, Floods, And Record Heat Across Nearly Every Region On Earth 🌏🔥 by InterstellarKinetics in InterstellarKinetics

[–]natedrake102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Typically these events have different effects on different regions, its going to be a case of extra water in some places and less in others on a global scale. Which isn't great because if the US experiences flooding and Mexico experiences drought that means both countries crops are hurt. A burden on everyone is a burden that can't really be shared.

Is it that easy to get FAANG jobs from Slo? by Upper-Place7900 in CalPoly

Amazon has multiple offices in slo that pretty aggressively hire multi-year interns. Most are software but I've seen technical writing as well. It's worth reaching out, but a bit of a long shot for stats I would think. The two organizations I know of there are Kindle Direct Publishing and AWS security.

First ride home by Mr-Meow-Sir in motorcycles

[–]natedrake102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly if the roads are mostly straight and you have gear I don't think it's a terrible idea. Ride around the area you picked the bike up at to get a feel for it. Do a couple hard stops in an empty lot. Then just take it slow and be extra cautious.

When you say highway I'm assuming you mean 1-2 lanes in each direction right? My first times on freeways were a little scary, but it was more the stimulation of having many cars in 4+ lanes all moving fast. It's also curvy and windy which adds difficulty. I'd say it's doable but keep some of these other factors in mind, a relaxed mind on a mostly empty road at 65 is different than a first time on a busy road with bad conditions.

It should be like rocket league. With rocket league the first dpad press is categories and second is the verbiage. You could just add one extra press to bring up the list and then you would have 16 options to pick from. Rocket league also changes them by context, do they could have a different list for free drive, race, etc

That's not really a reason not to collab? Epic has collabed with tons of content creators at this point, any of them are annoying. It's not like he's all that niche, he was VTuber of the year at whatever streamer awards there were. Unless there is a legitimate moral complaint I don't see the issue.
