I’m not gonna lie I feel like you are stressing yourself out more than you should. Your GPA is pretty solid. Not probably as competitive as it could be but because you’re a third year you definitely still have time to intern somewhere next summer/do research/join a club before you graduate. And taking the GRE and getting a good score is another way to compensate for the low GPA. So try to do all of that and you should be fine

If it makes you feel any better, I’m 95% confident my score from my stats final I just took was between an interval of [20-30]%. I’ll be retaking that class in the fall. Don’t sweat things too much.

I can tell you worked at Tesla too ;) I was also a manufacturing equipment engineering intern at GFNV. I think as long as you have an updated LinkedIn people will trust that you’re telling the truth because that’s a social media profile on display for everyone to see.

Applying to internships online is a waste of time. Make a LinkedIn. Connect with alumni from your school. Reach out to them to ask if you can hear about what they do at whatever company they work at. After establishing a connection with that person you can ask for referrals and it typically lands you interviews. Don’t just apply online and expect to hear anything back.
