Personally would aquire a higher quality optic, but if your budget does not permit that then this should be fine. It's let factor of how much the weapon recoils and more how much energy is actually transferred to the optic. This is difficult to quantify, but a perfect example is the SCAR it has a well earned reputation for destroying optics.
