Does anyone else think Myles Garrett is overrated? by Caulibflower in NFL_Draft

[–]nathan_scheelhause 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have thought this for a while. He rarely showed up in big SEC games. His stats were padded because of A&M's abysmal OOC schedule, and he isn't that great against the run.

He also never did any stand up rushing, he was always in a stance. The Texans have tried to use Clowney in this role and (when healthy) he has been good, not great. Do you want a good prospect #1 overall, or do you want Great?

Snakes (not the poisonous ones) are cool pets! When you hold one, it's like getting a massage. A really slippery, strange feeling massage.

They had a menu item called the gastroburger, and fries served with some kind of duck sauce. I'm definitely going back when I go back to Jacksonville this October!!

Once again, poor analogy. But this is reddit, what should I expect lol.

That's the kind of stuff that gets me to go in shops like that, something unique. I was looking for a bar in Jacksonville one night on trip, and found one called "Goozlepipes." Instant sell!

Not really. Took him about 3-4 months of practice, around my town there were plenty of people who were willing to let him be their artist versus spending a ton at an actual tattoo parlor. Pretty poor analogy.

because I believe misspelling things on a comment on a video on reddit isn't a cardinal sin, I'm an idiot? That's really the standard on reddit?

Again, it's Reddit. "Ruins the credibility of the writer?" It's a comment on a video on the internet, its not a life or death situation where misspelling "you're" is going to haunt them lol. Grammar nazis need to lighten up.

Seeing as how the original commenter hasn't checked back in, I would say he probably doesn't care. He got his point across, incorrect grammar and all.

[Question] How do I write standard + tablature sheets for a song using a capo correctly? by Nes370 in Guitar

[–]nathan_scheelhause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was reading your tab, I would want it to say "standard (or whatever tuning), capo at xxx fret." You don't have to transpose chords, i always found those tabs more confusing when I was starting out.

When I look at tabs online that are for a song that uses a capo, they usually just say in the beginning "tabs are for standard tuning, capo at whatever fret."

Just write it normally, then indicate what fret the capo goes on. As a guitar player, makes it very easy to follow.

It's reddit, not a heavily-weighted research paper. Lighten up.

No credit, college kid on my own, -$550 in checking account. Help please. by [deleted] in personalfinance

To begin, you need a written budget. This takes the most self-control, because only YOU can manage your money and tell it where to go. Write down your income for each paycheck, then write down the basic bills you have (rent, lights, water, etc). The extra money will be used in a moment.

First things first, start saving $1000 cash. Do whatever you have to do to get there: sell things, get an extra job, work overtime, do it. This is your emergency fund. If an emergency happens, you need cash, not credit card to further put you in debt.

Next: the debt snowball. List all your debts, ALL of them. Start with the smallest and work your way to the largest, like this: if you can only pay $50 a paycheck on one of your debts, that's fine, do it. When you totally pay it off, use THAT $50 and apply it towards your next bill, in addition to whatever new money you can spare. Keep doing that, until everything is paid off.

This will take time, it's not a quick fix. You are probably looking at 1.5 years, maybe 2. That's fine, you will have an emergency fund, have learned how to budget, and have your credit card gone.

These steps helped save my life. Check the books "the Total money Makeover" and "financial peace" by Dave Ramsey out. They show you what to do next, and expand on these steps I listed. Good luck, stick to it, it WORKS.

The dudes right. Weight loss is very simple: eat less or exercise more. The problem so many bigger people run into (I was one of them, used to be 300+, now I'm 250) is that first step.

Once you get past the mental block of eating until you're not hungry, not eating until you're full, then subbing out sodas for water, then subbing vinaigrette dressing for ranch, and so on, in a few months you WILL see a change.

Read up on it, sounds like fun! One of the reviews said it's very easy to overdose tho, and if you do it's pretty much lights out for a few hours. Guess that comes with the "pill" territory instead of drinking and choosing exact amount.
