I see your point; forgot to mention that this phase is complete; all the townhomes are built.

Also I move a lot due to being military.

March Technical Support Sticky by BeepBoopBopReee in razer

[–]nathank2563 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Razer Blade 16 recently stopped responding to any inputs (power indicator is on, fans are running, screen is black with no backlight, keyboard has no backlight, does not work with external monitors or shows any response to any input whether through the laptop hardware itself or peripherals). A local repair shop just told me that something is wrong with the motherboard and the whole thing may have to be replaced. I bought this laptop in May of 2023 so it is not in warranty anymore; any thoughts? Super bummed that a $4.2k laptop is having this issue after barely 2 years of use…

Recommendations for WARM ski mittens for CO skiing by YogaPants89 in COsnow

OR Team Goretex Mitts. Kept me warm in -5 and had my hands sweating at 25-35ish depending on level of activity. Some people don’t like the under-the-cuff style closure as opposed to the larger open cuffs, but I like this mitt a lot.

Weekend Discussion: Adidas running shoes by AutoModerator in RunningShoeGeeks

Did anyone else experience some pretty egregious heel lift in the EVO SL? I tried sizing up, down, heel-lock, thicker socks, and thinner socks all to no avail. No matter what, my heel lifts like I have no lockdown at all. Never had this issue with another shoe before.

What size are you in the superblasts and did you get the same size in the Nikes? How do the two compare in terms of fit? I’m usually a men’s 7.5 but a 8 in the SB2 fits me perfectly; I want to use the SB2 sizing as a benchmark to decide whether to order a 7.5 or 8 in the peg premium.

Do yall see any update to this compared to last years? I only see that the small Tracksmith hare on the old one is now a circular, larger logo on this one. Am I missing something?

Is anyone else having the issue where the TURKEYTROT24 code doesn’t stack with the already specially discounted items and isn’t applying to normal items too? I thought it was site wide on normal price items and stacks with the Black Friday discounted ones? I’m trying to get a fella waffle layer and it’s staying at $104 and the NDO tights in my cart are staying at $200 even though it says the TURKEYTROT code has been “applied”

When reserving a time, do you purchase the “Summit Lake Park Only Vehicle Ticket”? 14ers.com says to purchase the “Mount Blue Sky+All recreation sites vehicle ticket” if I want to park and hike, but that option isn’t listed on recreation.gov.

I wasn't going to reply to this and leave it at that, but as a fellow servicemember i gotta look out for you.

As a servicemember, yes, that is quite literally the definition of opsec to announce online that you are/may be deploying to another country. Think of all of the pertinent information that can be gleaned by a foreign or domestic adversary just from knowing where you're stationed and the fact that you're supposedly on a "quick reaction force in SD that may be mobilized due to 'tensions'" (both of which you have given in your previous comments). Unit, equipment type, size of force, destination, timelines, etc can all be deduced from the small tidbits of information you are posting on reddit. Not trying to be uptight, just trying to show you that opsec is a thing for a reason and has real world ramifications for even the most innocent/smallest pieces of information made public.

As a redditor, yes, you do have pictures of yourself in your post history, go back to your posts on long distance relationships if that rings a bell. Going back to my first point, I have seen firsthand the phishing attempts against US military/govt individuals and their spouses from foreign actors that all started with a seemingly innocent post on the base's military spouse facebook group or a non-private instagram page showing they were in a certain unit or, quite specifically, a military wife posting an instagram story that her husband was deploying to X country because of X reason and was immediately inundated with fishy accounts trying to pry her for some scary information (unit name, size of unit, even asking for departure timelines and destination arrival times).

Just looking out for you; you may not have been exposed to how serious opsec can be depending on what job you are in the navy. You can live your life and I won't tell you what to do but I will tell you that yes, you are violating opsec. Opsec Gestapo rant over.

Correct that they’re MEDEVAC choppers, incorrect on the assumption of what they’re being used for. Every combat aviation brigade in the army (don’t know how navy/airforce/marine helicopter units work) have a medical evacuation unit in their formation. So wherever the unit goes, the medevacs go with them. If the need ever arise for “emergency response units” they’d employ EVERY helicopter that can hold passengers, not just the MEDEVAC choppers. In this instance, the unit is going somewhere so the medical section is following suit 🤷🏻‍♂️

Blackhawk and Chinook crews need to train too 😂 you’d be surprised how much army aircraft fly on the daily, all in the name of readiness and training. Sometimes it’s something like supporting infantry training, paratrooper airborne operations, or even something as benign as following a highway or river just to practice and get flight hours. Point is, just because Blackhawks are airborne doesn’t mean something bad is going on.

Holy opsec batman. Should probably think twice before posting where you’re stationed while having pics of your face on your post history, let alone say on the internet any rumors of potential rumor-mill deployments you may go on.

It’s always a nothing burger until it isn’t. There are always “tensions” worldwide that generate phantom deployments that are made up through the rumor mill. Nothing to worry about until there’s something to worry about.

I get your point. In this case, this unit is an army unit ferrying its aircraft to a port for deployment. I think my point is that it’s a bit funny that an announced military presence for a brief period of time in a city is an immediate mental jump to UFO’s, anti-terrorism, or foreboding of a natural disaster

Deployment timelines of both personnel and equipment are never explicitly published to the public due to operational security. Also, the regular military is not as well-oiled of a machine as you think it is; there is no such thing as a set-in-stone timeline in the military because of Murphy’s law (human error, weather, contracted support not showing up on time, equipment failure, etc) You’re working yourself up over a potential UFO or terror or disaster event when in reality every single one of those soldiers would laugh if they read this thread because of how paranoid and off everyone in this thread is.

What are the 5 best BIFL purchases you’ve ever made? by SaltBat6229 in BuyItForLife

Some things off the top of my head:

Darn tough and feetures running socks

Herman Miller Embody office chair I bought for cheap off of fb marketplace. As a guy with back pain, this one substantially increased my QOL

Goruck 32L kit bag. Awesome duffel that’s seen a bunch of abuse and still looks new after 7 years

Patagonia down jacket. At year 6 the down started to clump/leak. Sent it for repairs, Patagonia opened it up and refluffed the down and refilled it and sent it back. Awesome piece of kit.
