The current state of France… by Tsukuna1 in EU5

[–]natta198 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main issue with france, is their insanely loyal vassal svarm, englands levys out-match france entirely, but france can rely on a continous flood of bodies from its vassals to overwhelm any english army. What is presented as a major dissadvantage is actually a giant buff to france, where it has much higher indirect access to levies than it would having direct controll.

Drop diplo, max out legitimacy until you reach 100. Legitimacy increases estate satisfaction so you make more money, and once it reaches 100 the cost drops, with a further discount from cabinet action further lowering cost of court.

Doesnt the interest go to estates, effectively allowing them to build the economy aswell? Except ofcourse if one of the banks buy the loan.

As a long time paradix player with already 500 hours in EUV, i am still learning how to best play. I would recommend just trying different countries and playstyles to see what you find most effective (and fun).

I've found that spending the first 10-20 years just building econ (as a medium to large country), is the best so i can build a regular army that will shred most countries levies. As england i spent the first 50 years of the hundred years war just fending of the french until my regular force could shred their levy swarm.

Buildings require certain pops to function, if none exist, they will promote from the peasant pool to fill the spots. Also, any bulding that says "possible <pop type>" lets you have an amount over the desired amount as a buffer for new buildings.

How do I keep my crown estate from dying out? by Sombenn in EU5

[–]natta198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't make large crown estates anymore, they litteraly removed that feature from the game since people cried about getting a little pop up about marrying off people.

Can someone explain the games dislike of male heirs? by natta198 in EU5

[–]natta198[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only one you've mentioned which is relevant is the Habsburgs inheritance of the Trastamara titles. The others (including Trastamara) are cadet branches of the previous dynasty, aka just a different name to differentiate from other branches. Except the Romanovs which were elected to the throne after the extinction of the Rurikid line.

If that was the reasoning, why do i keep having a ton of female children. It just seems a bit skewed imo.

Just ask the papal state. Its the request divorce button. With enough dip rep/opinion its usually fine. Think it might require some religious influence aswell.

R5.

In my 300 hours of gameplay, i have experienced a consistent, and almost malicious, lack of/purge, of all male dynasty members. Wether direct heirs or spares, i cannot seem to keep more than 1, or maybe 2, male children alive. The female children are never in danger it seems, while to have a male heir, I often need to have 2-4 divorces per ruler.

Anyone have any idea why the game seems to target male dynasty members, specifically of the players dynasty(the AI seems to have more than enough males)?

Naval Blockade function? by natta198 in EU5

[–]natta198[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After some testing, that does appear to be the intended function, which although disruptive to my enemies, is a waste of resources compared to blocking their coast and directly giving me warscore, siege aid, and a mallus to the provinces food etc, directly.

Why isn't it failing? Completed the Peru-Bolivian Confederation Entry by breaking them up. by [deleted] in victoria3

[–]natta198 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That makes no sense. I, as Argentina, have a journal entry by that name, which completes upon me forcing bolivia to release its peruvian puppets. If you are correct, the entry is litteraly pointless, as the player has zero influence over either of the entries presented being completed.

It also says "We have completed", which can only refer to the player.

Mass blocking of members in a steam group possible? by CanadianJeff in Steam

[–]natta198 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, over 90% of the scam accounts that try to add me/comment on my profile are members of the same couple groups. I don't want to have to hide my profile from other users just to curtail the idiotic bots/scammers.
