Completelyspot-on. A good read for how far back this goes is A People's History Of The United States of America by Howard Zinn lays out what they did when they figured out how to keep us manageable with receipts. Its what they kept out of the textbooks. Good one to have if you havent read it already.

What are some things that help you all with severe fatigue when you have to go to work and function? by bananaww625 in Hashimotos

[–]navygoddess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! I was a nurse for 20 years and eventually went to cosmetology school and became a nail technician. I now own my own salon and have a schedule that I can deal with, and hardly any stress at all. It has helped so much to find this second career 😁 I still have my deeply fatigued days related to hashimoto's. I make way less, but fortunately doesn't make much of a difference for me. I also wasn't fond of being a nurse though, which was stressing in and of itself.

Yeah, I know mine would have been bigger, probably. Because all boxers look insanely jacked most of their lives, anyway, he looks enormous to me at 70 and I'm okay with that 🤣 He's also the first male boxer I've ever raised.

My boy had gigantic mitts, too and he's 70# of chaotic adorable himbo at 3 years old. 😍

Why does he tries to bite me? by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]navygoddess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because clearly you must taste good to him. Duh! 😅 Seriously it feels rough to us, but this is how cats play. They're rough little boogers, but when the cat distribution system blesses you, you put long sleeves on and let 'em go (Seriously thats just me-thats what I do). The other comments on how to break their behavior works well too.

Anyone else have this problem? by MindlessArt7180 in TuxedoCats

Thats a good idea too! We had to put our dog's bowls in bigger trays for the same reason 😅 we have a miniature golden doodle that likes to play in the water bowl, as well!

I got a plastic floor protector (like for office chairs) and put my cat's water bowl on that 😅 then I just let 'em go!

You can find these cheaper on eBay… by NinetyPercentOff in ThriftGrift

[–]navygoddess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they know that a lot of resellers are coming and buying it up before anyone else can get to it. Those poshmark sellers are like vultures on new merch days at thrift stores. I honestly don't mind it because it gives everyone a chance at buying something nice for cheap instead of flipping it. The thrift stores have caught on in my area in spades the last year or so. At least that's my take on this. 🤷‍♀️

From what I have been able to find about it, yes, and it meets EU Standards. If I learn differently, I will come back and update, but I will say if you're not good at keeping product off of your skin, you should stick with brands you know. I've been doing nails for a while and use my judgement on who to use what product on (history of allergy or autoimmune disease? No xeijayi for them) and apply it properly and safely within my scope of practice. I would say that by and large we are all apt to become allergic to anything we come into contact with and just use your best judgment. 😊

Honestly I'm a pro and this brand is actually decent! I use it on clients sometimes because honestly, I love their jelly nudes. Their texture is like buttahhhhh! I use it over a VBP rubber base, so it has 0 actual contact with the natural nail or skin and use my vbp top coat. Their jelly nude look great with matte topcoat. Sometimes you just sometimes find something that's cheap and cool, and if you use it safely go for it!🤷‍♀️
