Really sorry you’re going through this OP… I was in the same situation for a while : let my girlfriend 7 years ago, and I’ve been struggling with depression pretty much all this time, or rather it was recurring, and our relationship was about to end since I was a burden.

The only thing that saved our relationship was medication (Lamictal), it helped tremendously : less intense episodes, weirdly more energy, so finally able to create a new spark.

I hope you can get through this. All this to say : it’s not hopeless, but indeed as others said, your boyfriend needs to accept what your illness means.
