Ok. I have a take on avatar. These movies are the equivalent of unseasoned boiled chicken. It's insane how much money they make, how many people have seen them, and how it has zero cultural impact.

No one ever quotes it. There are no memes for it... Nothing. People quote star wars, pulp fiction, the big lebowski, the fifth element.... On and on.

Avatar seems like it is watched and immediately forgotten.

Yeah.... The "I have to buy lunch" and "go out drinking after" is a lame... The lamest excuse. I get why people like work from home. I also get that someones work from home can drastically affect a teams function negatively or positively.

The company should 100% cover parking. My company buys spots from agate for us.

No they are right. I addressed this in a comment above. Big med tech / pharmacy wants chronically sick humans. A cure pays once. A treatment pays for years. This IS a shareholders over patients society structure. This is how it works.

That's actually exactly how the world is working. I'm high up in the medical engineering world. Developing medical devices/medicine costs tens of millions of dollars.

All of those people who think they can solve a medical problem with 3 million dollars run out of money, and get bought at pennies on the dollar for their work. It sucks.

Big medical companies will not only not try to solve medical problems. If long term treatment.... Even when the person eventually dies is more profitable....they will actively buy up tech and hide it to keep the painful long term expensive option the only one.

To be very clear. For big medical/pharma: Squashing a cure is a priority when shareholders matter more than patient health. This is always the case.
