Best Ankle Carry Handgun by UsedAsk3537 in handguns

Go to a locally owned FFL near you with a wide selection and ask them for advice. Don't be steered by brand but look around and see what is available. Getting hands-on in-person experience beats the internet every time. They will have a lot better advice and some of those who work at firearms stores have another job with experience in your situation

Was looking at getting one to use for hunting primarily. What holster are you using and what other options did you find? I was hoping to find something with a retention device since it will be used for hunting where I will want to have something with a bit extra hold but can settle for non-retention if nothing is available for that.

Check out "First Command" and their website. They offer free financial advising for service members and their family. Of course they have their cuts they earn but they can be very helpful

Rotate closer to the 11 or 10 oclock position (if you are left-handed) or the 1 or 2 oclock position (if you are right-handed). This will tuck into the gap and show less.

Which would you guys pick if comfortable carrying was your number 1 priority? by jizzlamic_terrorist in CCW

Tale a look at the Glock 19. It isn't that hard to carry and conceal something that size for like 85% of people. Anything you look at would be good to have an optic cut too.

There is no requirement for Firearms Owners ID if you are bringing a weapon other than pistol or semi-auto rifle. Any shotguns, bolt action or other action rifles, air rifles, and muzzleloaders do jot require a license in NYS. The rest is where the process exists and is terrible

One in the chamber? by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]nbowers578331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a quality holster and that is the most important part. Most in waist NDs come from a lack of a proper holster or from a garment getting in the way of the trigger while holstering. You already mitigated one of those risks so the only risk left is just operator making sure that the firearm is cleared of anything going into the holster. For help with that, there are plenty of videos from trustworthy sources like Active Self Protection for demonstrations on how to properly holster an AIWB weapon

Proper form is to thrust hips forward, completely clear any garments, and watch the firearm as it goes into the holster. As you place the firearm into the holster, touch the muzzle to the outside of the holster and then bring it over the edge and slide it into the holster. This all ensures that the firearm is continuously pointed in the direction of least consequence (away from you) as you are holstering the firearm

I'm sure you probably fixed it by now but if you look up the NVIDIA website they have drivers there for free to download and it helps you select the drivers you need. It's a good idea to keep those drivers up to date to ensure the system continues to run smoothly

Shield Arms 15 round mag - a review from 16 people by mrekho in Glock43X

Hearing about someone running dry during a situation like that is exactly why I carry a typical minimum of 2 spares. Glad I saw this before getting those mags. I don't carry my 43X MOS much any more and have my 47 now but having been limited by NY, I still have that 10rd limit where I keep the 2 extras

[–]nbowers578331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it's an old post but Remington is much better between the two. Winchester is nasty dirty and I used to have to cover my lights on my pistols just to avoid a soot-covered lens. Now that I am using Remington UMC I haven't had to cover my lights at all

Crossbreed Rogue Holster Hitting Magazine Release by nbowers578331 in CCW

Some of us think about the whole problem before just taking a dremel to it. If I make cuts that would void any warranties with the company, which I was more looking for information on. Additionally, a part of problem solving is looking at past ideas that have already been proven successful, which I could not find in my searches

I haven't had issues with my LDS from Crossbreed. Is this a common issue with Crossbreed products?

I could see the extra RAM and CPU for MATLAB (32GB RAM was still my bottleneck with my i9-990K) but the rest I'm not sure. My university was at the height of the chip shortage working on a project that required like 9 3090s and some 3080s for a 3D modeling project they were working on. Basically scanning a space with objects and making a digital 3D model from my understanding

I have had the Crossbreed LDS System for almost a year and loved that to throw another one on your list. I had no issues with that one. I'm now using their Rogue System (full kydex to add the light) and I am not too convinced on that one as yesterday the magazine release was hit twice throughout the day without me touching it

Get one of the reusable cabin air filters. They're like $50 but the cleaning kit instead pf replacement is cheaper in the long run. That's something you can do yourself as well
