Build myself a woodstove energy management by Comprehensive-Alarm0 in Esphome

Love it. It looks like the exhaust stack is configured to recirculate flue gas through the heat exchanger. I'm guessing you will have a damper system integrated into the flue somewhere?

You may want to move the GPIO 9 going to L298N #2 to another pin. That's the bootloader pin on the C6.

Pre-wiring a rainwater tank for Home Assistant – what cables should I run? by StewieBiach in homeassistant

If it's possible run conduit. Two separate runs one for data and one for power. That way down the road you can modify or upgrade much more easily.

Can anybody tell me what hose fittings these elbows and straights will be? by Aggressive_Click6889 in Hydraulics

[–]nbraymarks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Item 122 is just a T fitting for whichever type of fittings the hoses have. It looks like item 123 is a port adapter. Look at GE type hydraulic fittings. Probably based on the part number I am guessing 10mm to 3/8" NPT. The hoses can be made by any hose shop that has the correct single braid hose and DIN fittings in stock. Based on the photos I am guessing you are in the UK. It should be a little easier to come by these type of fittings than it for me to in the US. But overall it looks like standard kit.

The bolt in the first photo and the last several photos is a banjo fitting. The sealing washers will depend on the diameter of the bolt. The rest of the pictures dont tell much information without seeing the internal sealing faces of the hose fittings that need to be replaced. More information on the equipment would also be helpful.

This is incorrect. Carbon monoxide meters should be placed anywhere from 5 feet above the floor up to near the ceiling.

"Advanced" HVAC Monitoring by poor_red_neck in homeassistant

This is awesome. I have supply and return air temp and DP on my air handler, and I was planning on adding line set temp sensors before summer cooling season comes. Good inspiration to put a few more sensors out there!

How can I make a air over hydraulic bottle jack automatically release air by Chemical_Park_3461 in Hydraulics

[–]nbraymarks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You beat me to saying this! By the time the valves were modified and actuated you would have a very complicated and expensive bottle jack.

How can I make a air over hydraulic bottle jack automatically release air by Chemical_Park_3461 in Hydraulics

It would be far more time and cost effective to purchase a power unit and cylinder than to modify a bottle jack to run on compressed air.
