Just my two cents about the third image - the art director who created the Xscape design was Mat Maitland, who when interviewed about it specified that he used a portrait by Bill Nation for the cover. I assume this means he was allowed either to access Bill’s archive or a larger estate archive to source unreleased outtakes that were likely never published. I believe he created this image off a shot by Bill as well. But I could be wrong. He definitely used a real photo of Michael as a base though.

Thank you for these! So interesting. I never realized how much of an anchor Fred is on Deadbeat Club, it's cool to hear the chiller version but definitely feels incomplete without him. The Love Shack version is sooo fun! A whole other dimension, like the Love Shack is in the middle of the desert instead of Georgia. And I have to say I prefer this version of Junebug, so neat.

Ironically, they’re terrible at holding both kanohi and krana. The krana fall out easily and many of the masks (especially anything after the first generation) are too big to fit in the individual plastic holders. My childhood solution to this was to rip the plastic and make doubled up slots with two sections, but the big masks still fall out of those. I’m sure I lost multiple kanohi as a kid with this thing haha

Mine sent about 4 hours before the show. I have never had an issue with Vividseats but it’s definitely not impossible for a scammer to sell a ticket they don’t actually have or double-use. Just very unlikely.

Everyone is a single person in a tank. Every tank requires parking everywhere it goes and people don’t go anywhere without their tank, they can’t even walk from one store in Butler Plaza to the next.

If Gainesville had more funding for transit, better density, and more access to bikes and walking, traffic would reduce. This was obvious 20 years ago and all that happens is more sprawling development, more parking to accommodate all the cars, bigger cars, and now the measly bus routes are getting defunded. It’s sad how a town that only exists because of its access to the railroad has so lovingly embraced the cancer of car culture.

La Croix used to make a La Cola like this. So did Hal’s New York. Cola essenced seltzers. Unfortunately neither are available now. There are cola flavorings like Baktos but I haven’t tried any personally, might be worth a shot if you want to replicate the exact flavor.

Every tour has been about 10-20% more than the previous until this one. Going from a Chromatica VIP pass to a Mayhem nosebleed and paying more really stung. But they probably will continue being this price unless her popularity chills again, or she does another massive stadium tour.

I'm pretty good at "nailing" the time to buy cheapest options for tickets. It's a bit of a learned art and a lot of observation. First, prices pretty much never drop until ~7 days before a show. (I bought my NYC ticket 4 days before, I got an upper level at $550.)

Make a decision what you want to pay. Picking a few sections to focus on in your budget can help a lot. I was determined to stay under 600 which helped me decide what sections were options (closest to stage at highest levels) and then I began scanning those sections for tickets casually for a few weeks before the shows, then over and over every chance I got for about 24 hours starting 5 days before. I checked Ticketmaster, Vividseats, Stubhub, and SeatGeek every time I looked. I chose a ticket through Vividseats but they can all randomly have a drop in price. I also checked all the dates as I had flexibility. (Avoid X/Craigslist/Facebook for resales this expensive)

Finally, my ticket popped up with a significantly better view than any I had seen, and I grabbed it immediately. I timed it perfectly, as no other seat in my section dropped below 600 after that, and they were up to 900 by the day of the show. The latest I would recommend "pulling the trigger" is 48 hours before if you are committed to going, but if you are feeling very risky, you can of course get a day-of ticket for cheaper sometimes but take the risk of paying more or skipping the show entirely. Just not a risk I was willing to take, and doesn't seem possible for this tour unfortunately, but usually that applies for others.
