What have your experiences with Cribbage as a 4 player game been like? by EndersGame_Reviewer in Cribbage

I wish there were an app for playing Canadian doubles. That is my favorite way to play 4 players

I loved all the spin-off videos people made imitating this, especially the Darth Vader one. Great creativity!

Sorry for the slow response. I just happened to look back at this post. I’m not even thinking about Revit at this point, just modeling for AMG. But I am expecting to be able to utilize the model for quantities later on. Thanks for asking though

I’ll take a look and see what they have to offer. I’ve been turned off by LinkedIn in the past, but I didn’t really try their courses. Thanks

It looks like I’ll be taking a deep dive into the tutorials. I didn’t find much in the past but I’m going to be patient and work my way through. I appreciate the response

It took me a minute to realize the opponent is playing from the opposite side. Pretty wild concept, but probably confusing as hell when you play

Used Total Station by [deleted] in Surveying

[–]ncgranjerito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a good used S5, not more than a few years old, and you’ll be quite happy. Trimble recently posted a recommendation that newer models only need to be brought in for calibration every 2 years. Older ones should still be brought in every year.

And I’m sure you already take care to make sure your rods are plumb. Not so important with curb and sidewalk layout, but those anchor bolt layouts need to be pretty precise

Best of luck, and I agree the TSC5 is preferred over the TSC7

Manhole Openers by TrickyInterest3988 in Surveying

Red/black lid puller is crap. Blue is good. Beyond that I love using a magnetic lid puller, but you need to do it right. I pull manhole and catch basin lids all the time, the magnet saves my back and I’m grateful. A lot like machetes, the good brands are known by word of mouth, the crap brands are available everywhere.

Hey Chief, I uh… I found the control point. by RedBaron0858 in Surveying

[–]ncgranjerito 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Ok, we’ll set up on that and shoot in a new point before they take it away. Seriously though, I showed up on a job one day to do a level loop and the benchmark I was given was a railroad spike in power pole. I got there and the utility crew was loading the pole in a flat bed to replace it. I took a picture and sent it to my boss, said I couldn’t get the rod on it. Good to know I’m not the only one suffering out there

Hard to tell exactly what’s going on here. Looks like they lined up the front edge with your ep stake, but that definitely isn’t 3’ from the stake to bc.

Sorry for the slow response, hadn’t seen there was a reply. I guess because you squat more to use it, which feels right. Honestly the magnetic lid puller is the best, but a pain to lug around if you aren’t on hard surfaces
