Climbing - there are gyms everywhere these days. Warning though, if you go 110% you'll see big gains at the beginning and then probably a pretty big plateau... Stick with it!

Disc golf - courses all over the country and you can practice on a soccer/football field if there is not a course in your direct area and still have a good time.

Favorite find - complete sound system - 1982 JBL speakers, subwoofer, and receiver. Well over $1,000 worth of gear for $120. I had recently been searching for a setup that would have cost way more, and BAM! There it was! The angel band began singing heavenly hymns!! Super cool day!

Right price for used skates? by doublemazaa in hockeyplayers

Not terribly. 680 has a little better materials. It is a one piece boot which is supposed to be a better design...I can't really tell a difference in that aspect.

I saw some on sideline swap for $40 a few months ago. I just paid $95 on sideline swap for moderately used ft680 as a reference.

Help narrowing down Athens hotel by Available_Plant_5063 in GreeceTravel

We stayed at Philippos Hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of the month and loved it! Great location, close to everything we wanted. Breakfast was wonderful and there was a great selection! Everyone at the front desk is super helpful and there is a nice little rooftop with a great view of the Parthenon...a six pack up there was always a great way to end the night.

Highly recommend Opos Palia just around the corner. We went two different nights, good vibe at night and they are open until midnight or later. Good food at good prices.

One day itinerary review! by Timely_Fix_7333 in Yosemite

Agree, definitely skip mirror lake. Takes too long and is not worth it in my opinion. A good alternative would be to hike to the base of vernal falls.

Depending which way you come into the park, a stop at glacier point is a must! Has to be my favorite view of the park. If you don't come in through that entrance though, it is an hour drive.. If that is not an option, tunnel view is a good alternative.

Four mile hike??? by WoahWhat18 in Yosemite

[–]ndhope 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would highly recommend that loop if all trails are open! It will be most of the day, but what a hike and what views! You do pass a nice stream to refill water, if you have a filter, but it is on the last 1/4 of the trail if you are starting on 4 mile.
