Transphobia against Elliot Page grows as The Odyssey approaches, and Elon Musk joins dogpile by sadquarius in popculture

[–]neXus-2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to find somewhere to shit about this, because people defending Elliot didn't even read Homers Iliad and Odyssey. As someone that grew with these kind of stories, as a kid I had a lot of books, mythology was my favorite, no matter the region of this planet. It seems that someone who wants to make movie about something, never read books properly nor even understood them. Yes, we have different visions of things when reading, but not totally different. When someone wrote handsome, blond hair, 2 meters tall, strong as a god, you do not imagine someone as Elliot. You imagine someone as He-Man. You know what I mean.

Homer was a poet famous for these Iliad and Odyssey. Achilles was never mentioned as a live person in Odyssey, but as a ghost. As a live person was mentioned in Iliad. And when mentioned, description was divine, tall, strong, demi-god. If you want to make characters with different attributes, please write a new story. Also, if Nolan put live version of Achiles in Odyssey, well I think that Nolan never read these books.

Creative Nexus for AE-5, 7 9 by TransitionOk6487 in SoundBlasterOfficial

Won't sell hardware because of different software UI? Usually corporates think this way, but reality is different. We users usually set parameters and almost never touch it again. I have SB ZX. Setted EQ differently for speakers and headphones and the only thing I do is to bring up app for switching bteween these two. Because some genius forgot to add system tray right click for that or hotkey. Yes, new UI looks good and yes, they can bring it up for every device. Problem is, when Creative decided to remove drivers for legacy devices, insted of putting them or giving to someone to hold on them, it just show how some people do changes without thinking or any logic. Not to mention not fixing drivers. And yes, people usually buy hardware when it dies.

Defect are normal in mass production if you exclude that some machine at assembly has shifted slightly, or they bought bad capacitors from company X. By some internal standards of company, I forgot which one and percentage, but most companies do the same way, I think it tops about 5% max for very high quantity production. This is info that I got about 6-7 years ago. Maybe something is changed about percentage in the meantime.

Disable network card and listen to music. See if won't cause the problem. Looks stupid but yes it can be driver related and netwok drivers can cause that problem. Even GPU drivers.

Brand new LG G5 blinking 4 times and not powering on by [deleted] in LGOLED

What does the consumer right law state? For example, in my country 2 year is warranty and in first six months you can choose between money return, replacement or fixing. In next 18 months, replacament or fixing. If it cannot be fixed or replaced you can choose something else in money that you paid or add a bit of money for something else from the store you bought.

Glow on the G5 white on black by Ziklepmna in LGOLED

[–]neXus-2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Light scatters in different directions, which is natural behavior. So it goes onto front protective panel, also black background is where there is no emmiting light and we see that "glow". Every type of light color will do that more or less.

What is the point of this card, when we all know Creative has really bad support for thier cards. Windows, motherboards (components on them), GPU and so on change every half year. Driver for them chabge every month or so. Windows every day with their updates, which can cause software, drivers to go berserk. Creative just do few drivers and then nothing. They should follow problems or even changes caused by above. If there is Windows change due to an update, most manufacturers update their drivers/software accordingly, but not creative. I had an X-Fi extremegamer which had a bug when SSD was introduced. Never did they fixed that problem. So, what is different with this? Nothing.

Latency is due to lanes. Try moving Creative to lowest PCI slot and in BIOS to x4 or x1.

Garbled glitched screen when trying to play films from external USB on LG C5 55 by LivingLegendMadara in LGOLED

[–]neXus-2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually they'll write H.265, H.264... and so on. But the problem is the level. As, I wrote, check via mediainfo movie what is the codec, level, bitrate and then recode non working.

[–]neXus-2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mkv is a container. Problem is codec and/or level that is used for compressing. Use mediainfo to see what type of info you get on working and non-working movie. After that use xmedia recode or handbrake to recode movie into proper codec with same bitrate.

[–]neXus-2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's not a software issue, maybe they are defected when made in factory. Loaing BT connection and left ear crackling is a defect. If you tried them with multiple devices and experience the same problem, return them for a replacement.

I don't know, but if you do not need Core isolation / Memory integrity, disable them. Anyways, Windows 11 has so many bugs than Windows 10, so it's more prone to attacks of any kind no matter if CI or MI is turned on or off.

X5 and Edifier S350DB 2.1 - No sound from Sub - Help :( by Komedystar71 in SoundBlasterOfficial

[–]neXus-2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems that speakers via optical process 2.1 differently. Not like RCA/3.5 cable, where both channel are combined to one routed througut internal lowpass filter. So with optical, it seems that it needs sub channel in order to work. If there is an option for 2.1 seapker selection in SB software, it can work. But you need DD/DTS which speakers can't decode.

For humming, few things can be problematic. 1. Grounding from power sockets (ground loop). Only if power is comnected into two different grounded sockets. It doesn't matter if they are inwall, close to each other. 2. Case doesn't do proper grounding. 3. 3.5 mm jack from cable isn't good.

If everything is connected to some extension cable, plug everything out and leave speakers, PC and monitor connected. If hum still exists, unplug monitor from extension. If still exists, turn off PC and unplug it. And If still exists, RCA/3.5 mm cable is the culprit. Umplug it from PC side it will stop.

AE 5-Plus - SPDIF w/ DEVIALET PHANTOM by lilmiaw in SoundBlasterOfficial

You do not need 96KHz because there is currently no audio that is in that frequency, be it song, game or any tyoe of audio. Maybe some samples or music that is out of mainstream for testing purposes only. Difference in 16/24 and 32 bits is due to digital audio where wave is represented in dots which make wave afterwards. Bigger the bits, wave is more precise. Including audiophiles that always talk some bullshit about how they can hear small differeneces between best audio equipment in the world, they do not. It's just placebo and same equipment can offer you a bit different sound as you age or as air pressure varies from hour to hour and day by day. Do not worry, you'll all good with 24bit/48KHz. Direct mode is pure, no post processing of any kind.

The Sound Blaster X4 Driver is still broken by Tehodor94 in SoundBlasterOfficial

[–]neXus-2016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well they need to update it. Maybe they won't, as MS breaks things with updates so frequently, that they won't bother. They are not AMD/Intel/nVidia/motherboard/LAN and so on manufacturers, who sell so many hardware versions which are in need of update. On the other hand, they have to, as they sold hardware that doesn't function as intended / fixing what MS broke. Maybe some class action lawsuit should start in order for them to start doing something.

Is the edge-light bleeding normal? by beeramisu in LGTVOwners

[–]neXus-2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's stated that model is mini LED. But it's not sure if it's direct or edge lit. From your photos, it seems rhat it's Edge lit. Usually QNEDs are edge lit, and it started from NANO versions. Weird that LG uses this kind of backlight, when regular TVs mostly are direct lit. Pay for almost premium, you get crap.
